Visit the park in the evening. The lights and etc makes it really romantic. Take sope pictures of the museum and the BE KOBE statue. There are also other things to bisit nearby. The park, the boats, fountain, ...

Beatiful park. Spacious enough to play kite. Restrooms available. Many kid playground. Nice to see the harbor and the ferry wheels. Not far from china town.

It was a less busy calm evening and even if there are few people around, you can walk peacefully because the area is huge. And you can take a cruiser ride in the harbor land for like 1500 ¥. The experience is worth it. There are different cruises and the price list and the schedule is available to check.

One of the most wonderful, modern, vibrant seaside promenade and park. Nice sights, little cafes, the iconic Kobe port tower and the Kobe earthquake museum. We spent a wonderful few hours here.

My favorite place! It is an amazing place to people watch. There are a lot of families playing when the weather is nice. The area has some great food and shopping options close by. The view of the sea is beautiful at sunset 🌆

This was such a nice relaxing place to walk in the early morning and get some fresh air. The weather was perfect with just the right amount of wind. Enjoyed drinking a Starbucks and then walking around some more on such a nice morning.

A hotel with wonderful views, with a balcony that overlooking views. A nice touch to relax at any part of the day or night. Heart of kobe port. A stone throw to everywhere near Port. Check out mosaic complex opposite hotel for food. Staff is friendly, helpful and lots of free space to jog, walk and shopping. A Chappel near by is an added bonus probably for weddings. Rooms are clean and tidy. Stroll, relax, enjoy, shop at the nearby places.

This place is amazing. Overall Kobe is a great city but this park has a western vibe and there s always something happening. The public toilets can be so dirty especially in the afternoon but other than that it is a great park

Continuation of my past travels, this post is a review and comment on trip to Osaka, Japan. I had the pleasure of conducting business in Japan, and in particular the Osaka-Kobe area. Stayed at the Meriken Park Oriental Hotel. The staff was very polite, efficient and helpful and very patient with my attempts to communicate. The Hotel was super clean, rooms were very well appointed. Cost was reasonable, location was an easy walk to many different types of stores and resturants. Across the harbor was a Ferris wheel that had changing colored lights and was a beautiful site at night. I was impressed with the culture and friendliness of all I encountered while spending several weeks in this area.

This is the famous place near Harborland. Great place to sit in the grass or on the rocks and listen to the sea. I think this port is the sister port to America's port of Seattle. There are statues dedicated/from Seattle. There is also a memorial to the great hanshin earthquake of 1995, with old remains still there. Definitely take a few hours here!

A nice big park where Japanese families go to relax and spend time with each other. Or just a place where one can chill out alone.

Merikan Park has these food trucks parked along the pier so you can try a quick bite of different ethnic foods. I bought a spicy sausage from a Jamaican themed food truck.

There’s toilets and plenty of spaces to sit. A Starbucks is right in the middle of the park and a good spot to people watch. There are also toilets inside.

A good place to sit down and contemplate your visit in Kobe.

Great place to walk about and take in the scenery...

Must visit place to spend some idle time in the evening either by yourself or friends. It's a good 15 to 20 mins walk from the Hanshin Motomachi station in the Kobe prefecture. The famous BE KOBE landmark is located right in front of the lone Starbucks outlet. The place really lights up at night. I suggest getting the Hanshin day pass for 500 yen which is cheap as it gives you unlimited travel from Umeda in Osaka to the last stop on the Hanshin line for a while day.

Very good place to stroll around. Has free wifi connection. But don't have much bench if you want to just sit and enjoy the view of the sea and people strolling around.

I had an awesome time with friends and loved ones. Such a wonderful place to walk and stroll.
