Omoshiro Rent-a-Car Noda Head Office

If you are looking for a unique jdm-car experience, that is the spot! The selection of cars and the prices are second to none in Tokyo.
I rented 4 cars back to back at Omoren. All cars were in relatively good conditions. The Evo IX and the cheaper Civic Type R (fk8) had +200k km but were still running perfectly fine.
They take time with every customer to explain the rules and regulations as well as the cars.
I don’t second the bad reviews here. The NOC is pretty high, yes - but just don’t mess up their cars and you are good!

Best JDM car culture experience ever. Only cons is without ETC card rental, toll fee in Tokyo is very expensive. And you have to pay every time you get on&off the highway.

LOVED IT! This is one of my favorite cars in the world and I've wanted to drive one my whole life! They're hard to find for rent and the prices at Omoshiro were much better than the competitors I found online.

I rented the car for 9 hours and it was a great price.

Areas to improve:
The process to pick up the car can be improved. The office is open from 10am-7pm (9hrs) so if you get the 9hr rental you have to get there before they open, since there's no room for error. It was an hour and a half journey from Tokyo station, but since we couldn't find a taxi from Unga station to the rental agency (the last leg of the trip), we arrived at 10:15am. Due to the line of other customers, I ended up leaving at 11am, meaning I only had 8 hours to use the car. Thankfully, (after asking) the owners refunded a small portion of the fee, which honestly transformed my experience from 2 stars to 5.

What I love about Omoshiro:
The owners and staff are very nice people and have lots of great cars to choose from. The GTR I rented was a monster and so much fun to drive, I couldn't stop smiling during the entire trip. For a great price I was able to live my dream of driving my favorite car in Japan to Mt. Fuji. Thank you Omoshiro for making my dream come true! I hope to come back to Japan and rent from you again!

Amazing experience! We've rented twice in the same 24 hours and both reservations went pretty well considering the situations.

Some of the cars are pretty worn down (interior is poor quality, cosmetic defects). I had a major mechanical issues with the White GTR-R33 but these cans can happen with old cars that get abused by other renters. Could've been a maintenance issue also but considering the very good prices of Omoshiro, things couldve been worse. They were kind enough to get me a tow truck 3 hours away from the rental office and we were able to negotiate on the terms of payment for lost time. RX7 FD is a charm to drive!

The R34 GTR is magnificient! Car is really well maintained drivetrain wise, interior is mint. Engine is very powerful and handling is spot on. Very safe car to drive but also consider driving respectfully.

We drove the R34 to Daikoku PA on a friday night and on the Tokyo Expressways at night to live the "JDM Experience". I recommend Omoshiro!

*Don't hesitate to grab the CDW insurance, its cheap for what it covers but also dont forget that Tires, Glass and Scratch damages will not be totally covered and will result in NOC charge of 150,000 to 300,000yen. (See it as a deductible in case of damages)

Fantastic place if your looking to hire a JDM car in Japan, the staff are very very helpful and so friendly. The range of cars to rent is very impressive and the quality of the cars was great. We chose the EVO 8 manual which was a great choice and had no issues with the car whatsoever, it drove very well and everything worked like it should, the car was very clean when we picked it up and we had loads of fun driving all over Japan. The price was simply the best out of every place we looked at, highly recommend getting your JDM driving experience here 100%

This place is amazing! It's a short walk from a nearby metro station. This location is tucked away in a quant neighborhood and you are greeted with every JDM dream car. I rented an R34 Skyline and drove it to Tokyo on a Friday night. They offered overnight rates which was perfect for when I wanted it. The customer service is top notch and staff is very friendly. I originally reserved an R33 but it was involved in a crash before I arrived in Japan so I had to settle for an R34. Not the worst thing in the world. Loved the car, handled amazing, everything I hoped for. They make the terms and conditions very clear so there is no confusion for what you are responsible for. Hopefully I will be back in Japan one day to rent something else. Thanks to Omoshiro. This experience made my trip

Great place. Ignore the bad reviews. Bunch of losers who can't take responsibility for damage they've caused. Drove for 3 days in 380RS, dream car. Perfect condition, even the clutch felt beautiful. Had so much fun, think I did around 1000km or so and had a lot of fun doing it!! Don't damage the car, and you'll be alright. Be mindful if it is a low car, bumpers can be easy to damage if you don't think about it.

I will be renting from these guys every year I come to Japan from now on. I think, if you are going to be mad about paying the 150/300k yen fee for damage then don't rent. Aka, if you are a brokie stay away. Otherwise drive it like you own it and have fun, obviously respecting the vehicle while you do so. I did not have to pay anything extra, but always anticapate that I do when renting a car and I'm just happier if I don't have to. I use this mindset whether it's specialist rental or something like hertz.

Research the rules before you rent. No mountain passes!

Great selection of cars. Friendly staff that made the process easy. Location is a bit out of the way for most tourists visiting tokyo but not that difficult for the most part. I just wish their tokyo locations had better choices making it easier for pick up and return. Overall, great experience.

Rented FL5 Type R. Hard to find car. Location is a bit far but good as you don’t have to start driving in Tokyo. Tolls weren’t cheap but would come back to rent again.

Great experience with them. We needed to jump start the car but Omoshiro renta was extremely helpful to get it sorted. Service recovery was fantastic. The white r34 drove well as of Nov-2023. Many foreign customers. Make your reservation on website and you are good to go. Will use them again.

The NOC charge is high (read the T&C), but you should not worry if you drive safely. Drive these Japanese icons while you have the chance!

This place was great! The whole experience was outstanding, service was great and helpful. Selection of was good. I drove the gray R34.
Drove up to Tsukuba Circuit (not on the track) found some great people racing that day, which made the day special.

I was in Japan for a 2 week trip and rented the silver Mazda RX7 for 11 days and had an amazing time driving around Japan. The staff were very helpful and made sure I was all set up before heading out on the road. The car drove really well and was everything I was expecting. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend renting from them to any car enthusiast looking to drive around Japan. I will definitely be back whenever I get to visit Japan again.

Friends and I came into tokyo for a few days and decided to rent a bunch of cars we cant get our hands on in the US. picked up an R34, S15, and a kei car S660 for three days and had a time of our lives! awesome folks working here and definitely recommend omoren for anyone wanting to drive their dream car here in japan!

These guys are great! The rental process was easy and straight forward. Its done online just sign up with their membership form. Then find the car you want to rent. Make sure that the car you find is available at the rental office you choose. They do not mix the cars from one store to another. So you can't pickup at one place and return to another.
As for the staff they are what makes this place what it is. They were super friendly and explained everything to me and made sure I understood the road signs.
Now I rented from the head office in Noda it is a good long ride on the train from Hanada airport to the head office in Noda. It's an easier ride if you're coming from the Narita Airport. When you get off at the train station it is about a ten minute walk or five minutes taxi to the office.
I will rent from here anytime I'm wanting to get a car. You can rent for a few hours to many days. So they are flexible with your schedule. So rent a practical car all the way up to a super car. They got everything you need.

Late review. Rented the Evo VI from them last summer, it was the most amazing night out living the dream of driving on the Shuto. Everything was smooth with the Evo, but I did have an issue I wanted to get the R34 GT-R the following day, but they wanted me to do it online, despite being there in the office, which would not work.

Great cars which drives beautifully considering they managed to keep them running despite their age. Would return again to try out more rides for the best JDM experience

really nice jdm and import car selection, friendly staff who can speak english and easy booking procedure via website possible :) just plan enough time to get there, since its a bit far away from tokyo

I had small problems with the pay-process on the homepage but with a mail we could finalize the reservation.

So at the end everything was fine and the experience we had with the Nissan GT-R (R35) was Reality great.

Next time I stay in Japan I plan to take another car for an longer drive.

The condition of the car was great.

There are only two things which could be improved (from my Point of view):
- Location closer to the center of Tokyo
- English skills ;-)
