Hiroshima Airport

The HIJ is an easy 50-minute "limousine bus" ride from the Hiroshima train station (about USD $10). It is a small airport but clean and efficient. Check-in was easy and security line was really short. We arrived 2 hours early for a 12:45p flight and it was too early. There appear to be more restaurants on the land side than airside.

Very friendly for American tourists. Is far from the city center but easy to reach with many shuttles from Hiroshima Shinkasen Station. They had a nice breakfast place on the second floor and a good amount of shopping. Although it was about 45 minutes outside the city, I would still recommend.

Hiroshima is a city which one must visit during their trip to Japan , amazing people, great hospitality and warmth, so much to learn , fantastic airport absolutely seamless

It was a convenient airport, not so many passengers and clean environment,no railway accessible but several buses bring passengers to downtown

A wonderful performance of the Hiroshima Sanikugakuin Junior High School Choir！It's a great soothing spot for businessmen on Friday evening near the weekend after work.
They also donate money. It seems to be donating to poor children in Nepal. Please join us ！

Perfectly good small airport. Baggage claim was quick and efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful in getting us some tickets for taking the bus to the station in the city.

Quick and efficient airport with a few shops and places to get food. It is about an hours bus ride from the Hiroshima city center.

Small airport but with alot to do if you are spending some time there. Lovely garden just outside the airport!

Good airport in Hiroshima!! Of course it’s clean and comfortable! But you can get here with a car or bus. You can’t get in by train. So make sure you check the time table of bus or traffic report in case some bad traffic conditions happen. There are some good kiosk and souvenirs shops so you can buy maple small cakes or good souvenirs! Of course there are some restaurants and cafes so you can have a lunch or dinner! You can eat oysters and Okonomiyani! You can get in the observation deck by free! Oh but you can’t buy Starbucks coffee here. The terminal for international and domestic us same building so easy and accessible to international from domestic one!! Enjoyyy!

The service at the Hiroshima airport was great. At the airport we were told we could not leave Japan due to Chinese visa peoblems, however, they helped us change our flight in order to fly the next day without needing a visa at all. We are very grateful.

Love this airport ... small, compact and really fast to clear immigration. If you are asking where to purchase shuttle bus ticket to go to Hiroshima Shinkansen, you get it at Information counter selling JR pass right after the immigration.

Great small airport. They have a smoking room opposite gate C.

Few of immigration officers that check the passport couldn't speak in english well. But we still able to communicate. Dont worry. There's so many duty free shop too.

Small airport but good shopping of Japanese snacks here on second floor. You can find wide variety of Hiroshima snacks and oysters products here.
