This is a beautiful Japanese garden just next to Hiroshima airport. I recommend visiting this garden in the autumn season. It is quite spacious and there are lots of maple trees. The waterfall is also worth visiting. Check out the map that is available on the registration desk.

There is a park with beautiful autumn leaves near Hiroshima Airport.
It's a little-known spot for autumn leaves without many people.

Outstanding garden with far more open spaces than others you will find in the Hiroshima area. Parking is removed from the garden entrance so don’t be surprised if you find yourself parking in what looks like and airport lot a few hundred metered away. Beautiful views all around the garden with two koi ponds and a waterfall. Highly recommended.

The colored carps here are always hungry. Please come here to feed them a little food!

So beautiful. Highly recommend visiting before a flight or during a long layover. The cost of entry was only 270¥.

Beautiful Japanese garden with ponds, waterfalls, koi fish, shaded sitting areas and seasonal tree and plant color changes to enjoy.

Traditional wooden bridges, ornamental lanterns and water features are my favorite here. Especially serene now without aircraft overhead too often.

Bargain entrance fee under 300 yen. Definitely get the 500 yen matcha and wagashi set to enjoy on the front terrace. You can also buy fish food at the front to feed the koi.

Nice place to relax before flying out

Nice and cosy traditional garden to enjoy flowers and blossoms of each season and beautiful pond with carp. In rainy season, you will be overwhelmed by 10,000 hydrangea trees in full bloom!

For a nature lover, this is a perfect place to visit. The mountain landscape of the garden quite dominant in circling the garden area, which i guess serve its purpose. Momijis, sakuras, peonies, wisterias, all kind of plants for every seasons exist. Contrast to the shukkeien garden in the hiroshima city, which has low terrain and wide view, encircled with tall buildings on the background. But this garden is located next to forest park, it is a bonus for strolling in this garden.
