Hotel Nikko Niigata

Awesome hotel with amazing views over Niigata. Rooms were large and spacious, with amazing breakfast selection on offer. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Nikko is a polished hotel as it stands but this is a newer facility. I loved the airy lobby and the free observation deck. The staff were very lovely and they showed kindness to foreigners more than Japanese I believe. They spoke English too. The condition of the room and bed was very well maintained, the A/C had no odor, the bathroom was stainless and spotless.

Throughout Niigata city, there were no signs of disruptions caused by earthquake or water damage. So don’t hesitate to come and spend a night here in Niigata. It’s better than Tokyo for sure.

If you’re looking for the hotel with the best view in Niigata then look no further than Nikko. The hotel is situated on a peninsula with no other high-rise buildings nearby and the rooms start on the 22nd floor (all the floors below are offices). You're guaranteed a great view, the corner rooms in particular (which also have a bathroom with a view!). The rooms are very well appointed and the staff fantastic. I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else when in Niigata. Top marks all around.

The service at Hotel Nikko Niigata is generally excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always willing to help. However, I did have a few negative experiences with the front desk staff. On two occasions, I felt that the staff was not as friendly or helpful to me as they were to Japanese guests.

Overall, I had a very positive experience at Hotel Nikko Niigata. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-located. The service is generally excellent, but there is room for improvement in the front desk area.

Love this hotel!
Not far from Niigata Station and near Pier Bandai where you can find fresh fish, fruits and veg. There are restaurants and cafes as well.

Really classy hotel. Almost felt too classy for backpackers. :) Staff was very friendly and spoke English, but also put up with my Japanese. Observation deck on the 31st floor. A little out of the way but not terribly. Next to a really nice fresh food market!

The Hotel has a wonderful view of Niigata's Bay area. From the top floor you can enjoy a good meal and the view of Sea of Japan. The hotel is well served in taxis and shuttle buses that make it very accessible. The area just across the river is perfect for drinks and dinner. Highly recommend!

One of the most beautiful views I have ever had. What a view of the sea of Japan and shinano river. You select rooms of sea view and river view when booking. There’a free parking lot for guests. If you go to the 35th floor of the building you could see the whole Niigata city, shinano river and sea of Japan.

Fantastic hotel! Views are incredible to say the least. The 31st floor had a panoramic view of the entire city with the Sea of Japan. All restaurants are incredible.

If you want to have the quiet and relaxed environment around the hotel area, pick this one. Transportation to JR or old street area is within 10 mins even if walking within 20-30 mins. Not a big concern on location.

Lobby is on 3rd floors. High building settled along the river side. Enjoy the city view of Niigata and Bandai bridge.

while taking the elevator to the 31st floor be sure to stand of the side of the elevator facing the sea, the view is phenomenal as you ascend quickly

Loved my stay while in Nigatta. The only tall building in there...It offers the view plus the best customer service hands down.
