Quaint little marketplace that also has a variety of small shops around it. Seafood is fresh and cheap

About 5min taxi ride from JR Niigata station, a nice pit stop for sake tasting, ice cream, conveyor belt sushi etc.

Really fresh seafood at reasonable prices. Outside area has common chairs and tables where you can eat the food you purchased from the fish market. There’s also a supermarket that sells local produce and a few restaurants and coffee places. Worth the visit. We took the city loop bus to get here.

There’s a lot of restaurant there, not only selling fish but also there’s a liquor shop, meat shop, and vegetable shop. But definitely you should try a sashimi set there, very fresh and cheap compared with Tokyo

A new experience on how to eat sushi. That’s right you can stand while eating very fresh sushi. The price was great the food was wonderful as well as the staff were very friendly. I would suggest not carrying camera bags or extra gear inside. Space was a little limited.

The smell of this place was amazing - fish on sticks frying, and beef too, plus clams, and happy people all around - loved it!

A comprehensive market with fresh fish, vegetable and meat product in Niigata. You can found so many famous local food in here with good price. Also some restaurants are located next door you can enjoy the fresh food easily.

Great seafood options and coffee. We planned to go to Teradomari market but it was just too hard using public transport. Went to minato marche pier bandai and really enjoyed it.

It is a local and tourist market with seafood and dry goods.Look around,try not to touch the packaging too much.Can purchase packed food, drinks and dine at the open dinning area.Be respectful in clearing the used plastic packaging of food, bottles and cans.

I was in heaven. Good sushi with thick slice of fish, lot other things to taste. All fresh and very affordable. Does not smell like other fish market. Very clean for a fish market. I recommend it. Do not miss this place. Not a very big place. Also good coffee and ice cream.

Buy sashimi, oysters, cooked food, draft beer from the market and eat on the deck chairs and enjoy. No stress from queuing at the restaurants.

Lots of gourmet ingredients for Japanese cuisine and local produce. Great for weekend visit!

Good BBQ area. You can buy meat, fish, and liquor shops and enjoy BBQ at separated area.

This market is managed by producers directly. There are also some bars and foods shops (take away possible as well). We were lucky enough to have grilled fishes (delicious) and the lovely obachan offered us one as it was soon closing.

It's a good touristy farmers market. The gift souvenirs are priced similarly elsewhere, but you also see premium produce as well. Premium produce meaning the high grades of rice, real sweet corn [like Musk melons], sweet edamame, to name a few. It's touristy in the sense that it has multilingual signboards, clean toilets, free wifi, a proper al fresco common eating area [courtyard layout] and proper packing everywhere.

This is really Interesting place you can purchase meats of different variety and cook at your outdoor table over charcoal, so tasty washed down down with a cold beer.. mmm I loved it
