What a fantastic bar! Toshi san crafts excellent cocktails, many of which use locally sourced gin, shochu and whiskey. What he also creates is an atmosphere that encourages conversation, laughter and fun. The vibe is laid back and you can mingle with locals to a classy jazz soundtrack. Just go! Toshi is a great host, speaks English and explains what you need to make the proper drink choices. From whiskeys to cocktails and beers he has a wide variety. Great experience and I recommend to anyone who wants to have a authentic Japanese bar experience

The most comfortable bar I've been in out of all the bars I visited in Nagasaki. Also, the cocktail drinks that Toshi (the bartender) made were perfect. As well, as to see how Toshi makes the drinks, very professional. Great bar to visit if you have the chance.

It’s already been said, but Tokishi is awesome. He welcomed me, we chatted a bit in English and Japanese, and before I left, he gave me a free sake just because. I ordered a beer which they apparently get downstairs at another place. Good times to be had here, so make sure to stop by.

The bar was beatiful, the drinks were delicious and the service was exceptionally warm! Definitely worth the visit! The owner/bartender was amazingly friendly and spoke excelent english!

Great bar! Toshi is the absolute best bartender around! He is very welcoming and lots of laughs! The other customers were also very friendly and chatty with us, even though I speak no Japanese. Awesome selection of cocktails and whiskey. This is a must visit if you are in Nagasaki and want a great evening experience!

As has been said, Tokishi is great. While his English is good, he is not fluent. As long as you know, no problems here. Drinks are normally priced for specialty whisky and other cocktails. Don't expect cheap, expect the right price for a good cocktail - enjoy the quality. I sure did and I will be back next time in Nagasaki!

I know that place from the comments, at first I was hesitant, I was just looking for a Japanese craft beer site, I went in to drink something since the style of the place was very attractive, it was a good decision, because I can guarantee that it was my best experience of barcocktel from all over Japan, Toshiki, the waiter and owner, is the friendliest, jovial and funniest person I have known in a long time, with patience and affection he gave me a taste of Japanese sake and whiskey while entertaining my evening, I only have words of Thanks to this place and its owner, I work in this sector and I know how to recognize when someone is good, Toshiki is one of the best, guaranteed. Go and enjoy 😉

Absolutely recommend! I went on a quiet Monday night, but the bartender and one guest were extremely friendly. I wish I knew the bartender’s name, but she was so sweet and kind. She even walked me out to the street to help me find this gyoza place she recommended.

Great bar. Toshi is a superb host, both as mixologist and character. Takes real care to look after everyone. Quite small and deservedly popular so might be full, but worth persevering.

Wonderful ambience and wide selection of whiskey (especially Japanese). Highly recommend, and if you are in Nagasaki, do yourself a favor and visit!
