This was my favourite place in Nagasaki. Best sunset I have ever seen and the view of the city at night was incredible. It was cold at the top in March but there is a little cafe selling hot drinks inside.

A must visit if you can!!!

I was debating whether going or not since I was doing a half day trip from Fukuoka (6hrs). The view is absolutely amazing. The round trip using the ropeway costs 1250¥.

There’s some food and stores you can find upstairs.

The night view of Nagasaki is one of Japan's top three night views. Therefore, I do not recommend going by car at night. In the worst case scenario, you won't be able to get into the parking lot and will have to wait for over an hour. Be sure to take the ropeway to the top of the mountain at night. The ropeway is 1,250 yen for adults round trip.

A view that never disappoints. Great place to take in the whole Nagasaki area, either during the day or at night.

Beautiful place at night and day . The lighting at night is especially beautiful... but of course it gets more crowded. Sadly the food container on top sells now taccos, so no big burger's anymore :-(
The cafe in the visitors center has nice coffee and sells also beer. We were lucky and someone was accompanying our drinks with piano play.
Weather was not to good thought, so gunkanjima was not visible. 1200yen anyway worth the trip with the cablecar

Beautiful view. Morning, Evening, or any time of day. Must-See.
The Observatory has an open top deck, but inside you can also see everything, so cold weather should not ruin your plans.
The ropeway is a very convenient way to get there, but do not stay too late. There's a lot of people on the evenings, and a queue to go back down using the ropeway can take over an hour!

I liked it.
There ways to reach the top
I used the roapway which was very nice. Ticket was expensive but still was nice to try .
On the way back I walked all down to the cit. Took an hour or so.
Also you can go by bis or personal car.
There's free car park.
It gives a super bowl ce view of Nagasaki
No entrance fee
There's a caff and a restaurant up there
Toilets available
Chance to take photos by a camera there
Seeing the ocean and the jungle down makes it perfect

Ticket round trip cost 1,250 yen
I visited during the day, and while there were few people around, I enjoyed a stunning daytime view.

A must-see viewpoint for all those that pay a visit to the historical city of Nagasaki, preferably at night!
Beautiful scenery for great photographs with the city’s blinding lights and the great view of the port.
Accessible easily through the ropeway at a cost of 1250 for two way ticket, although the line usually is very long (about 30+ minutes).

It’s nice to visit there before sunset to witness it. People may jam-packed at 5 pm and don’t forget to bring your tripod to capture nice scenery around Nagasaki.

Advertised as one of the best night time viewing spots in Japan. I hiked up here from Nagasaki Station at night and it took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The climb itself wasn't bad but I don't recommend doing it at night. You can also take a bus or cable car if you have young children or don't want the exercise. The views of the city are beautiful and you can pin point iconic spots thanks to unique light displays. I recommend visiting the '10 million dollar view ' you won't be disappointed.

It was early in the morning when we decided to visit the observatory. The 360 degree view of Nagasaki prefecture on both day and night was absolutely stunning and it is truly a sight to behold.

By the time we went there, the cafe/restaurant was still closed. So I recommend visiting the observatory by afternoon or by night if you want to grab some lunch or dinner in their restaurant.

Perfect place if you want to enjoy the view, or celebrate occasions with your loved ones.

This is one of the highlights in my trip. The best night scenery that I saw in Japan which you should not missed.

The night scenery is so beautiful and the observatory building is free, it got a low lighting design which you can enjoy the night scenery in the best lighting condition.

If you take the JR, you may online book the free bus to the observatory, or taking the local bus number 40 which there is a stop near by. Or else you may walk 30 mins from JR station.

Nice beautiful view of the whole Nagasaki. Recommended to drive up for a fee where there is a parking lot rather then a long walk from Inasayama Park. It is best to come up here in the evening where you can see the difference from day to night. Be prepared to get a jacket because it is very windy cold.
