It was a nice experience in Nagasaki Penguin Aquarium. The sea view was eye soothing. You can use Nagasaki Bus Service. 320 yen is the regular bus fare from Nagasaki Station.

Best place ever. Home to 9 (out of 18 total) different penguin species whereas most aquariums only have 1-2 types. The feeding times (at 11am or 3pm) are cuteness overload with penguins frantically waddling after food. The museum also has a ton of information about all the penguin species and very nice visuals. We spent over 3 hours at the aquarium without getting bored.

Best penguin aquarium in the world!
Don't forget to visit feeding time (weekdays) or marching time (weekend)

A lovely place I visit every year. A great place to unwind and watch penguins fool around. The gift shop has some really nice things you can buy as well. I always spend a couple thousand yen there.

We absolutely love this place. I believe there are 7 different species of penguins exhibited. They are just so darn cute. There is also a gallery with several other tanks, containing fish, octopus, garden else, crabs etc. Really fascinating. On nice days they have a group of penguins outside on the beach, where they get to bask in the sun and swim in the ocean (a large netted in area of course) and you can sit on the beach with them! The aquarium is not huge. We usually stay about 2-3 hours. The entrance fee is extremely inexpensive. I believe it was 530 yen for an adult.

As a student of Nagasaki University with your student ID and residence card you can get access into the aquarium at no cost to the student.

It is such an amazing place to see penguins and learn about them. I leant about bathe Rockhopper penguins its unique Mohawk-like hair running from the sides of its head stuck with me. There are other species like the King.

There’s a gift shop, a beach front and ice cream. A great place to bring kids too

Such a beautiful little aquarium/zoo for penguin lovers! I really felt like I was able to get in touch and close to the amazing penguins there. We were able to watch the feeding time shows where they feed the different kinds of penguins and tell fun facts about them!

A wonderful experience that fulfilled my penguin dreams! They have a wide variety of penguins and I was pleased with the temperate and arctic penguin areas. Glad to have had the opportunity to visit!

Great for kids. See and feed penguins during any feeding time. Feeding tickets are 100 yen, very affordable. There's also some other exhibits and a beach outside where you can sometimes see the penguins playing outdoors. Worth stopping by for an hour or so. Make sure to park at the second parking lot, because the first one is a long walk through a park to arrive at the entrance.

Although it is small and kind of remote "Buses info only in Japanese", I had a lovely time there. You get to see different kinds of penguins up close and take as many pictures and videos without too much crowd

Cuteness overload!!! Perfect for penguin lovers. Lots and lot of penguin. There is enough to be able to get close by even in the crowd. There’s also some cafes and shops. Nothing too big but one cozy aquarium to stop by.

Nice and can be close to penguins. They have feeding time and penguins march to the beach. You can follow them. A small aquarium but you can spend 2 hours.

For someone who would visit this place from nagasaki city as a tourist. I am saying the local bus that google map shows you could be wrong and very difficult to find the way out like there are too many buses with similar kanji stop at the bus stop.
Just come to this bus stop and take the red bus. It costs 310yen. The way to get back here is the same bus too.
Don't forget to ask the driver to make sure.

There was plenty of English script, a gorgeous display of Japanese and open water fish, plus friendly+helpful staff. For a small fee (¥100, I think) you can help the staff to feed the Humboldt penguins! The enterance fee is very reasonable (¥510 for an adult) and the animals are very well cared for. There's lots for kids of all ages to enjoy, including those young at heart!

The place maybe a little smaller than expected. But the amount of penguins they have are plenty and amazing. We had teenagers and they enjoyed themselves very much

This aquarium is a must see if you are in Nagasaki and you love penguins. It's small, but has many different places to see the penguins, even on the beach outside. This was the closest I'd ever seen a penguin and it was really fun. Check the website for information about feeding times and make sure you see at least one. It might take an hour to get through everything at a moderate pace.

It was a bit difficult figuring out how to go to the Aquarium from Nagasaki, but when we asked the information desk in the Nagasaki station, they gave us all the details. The bus stop was across the street near the Yoshinoya and you have to take a special red bus towards Aba. There is no bus number, but if you look at the attached picture, you can match the kanji on the time-table to the kanji on the bus.
