Naha Kokusai Dori Shopping Street

This was an amazing experience!!! The street merchants where very cheerful and provide good locations for food and souvenirs. The Izakaya restaurant provided live entertainment. The interaction was electrifying.

If you ever get a chance to stop and visit it’s worth the trip.

Pro Tip:
Have on hand local currency before beginning your journey. You will Thank me later.

Came to Okinawa for 5 days, and came to this shopping street for 3. Very convenient shopping street with almost anything you need and want.
Lots of food and drinks here, also great place to get souvenirs.
If you want to buy tax-free goods, I suggest you come by here but also check out Donquijote to get the best deals out of almost everything.

A well known shopping street in Naha city. We spent a whole day there for shopping, site seeing and food.
Be careful if you drive there over the weekend during peak hours. Use public transport if possible.

I love areas like this in Japan, and Kokusai Dori was no exception! It is definitely the big touristy kind of thing you expect but if you like that sort of thing like I do, then you will not be disappointed. There are tons of stalls, souvenir shops, food, treats, drinks, etc. Some things are completely overprices whereas some are really reasonable and even cheap compared to the US. I even saw a stall that had no employees, only a scanner for patrons to use themselves. This whole area was such a great vibe, and we never felt unsafe. But there are a lot of small alleyways and different paths, but I felt like there was lighting everywhere and a stall or two opened in every area even near closing time. This is a really fun place to walk and shop around, even if you do not but much and then you have the main street that stays open late that has all of the bars, restaurants, and other nightlife options.

The best place to buy and find okinawan souvenirs. There are lots of cool shops to explore around the street. Also restaurants and street food. It can be crowded sometimes, it's a must to visit this place while you're in okinawa!

Awesome tourist spot, lots of shops, restaurants. Maikishi Market is also nearby.

Amazing amount of shopping and eating. You can get the Hawaiian style shirts and matching dresses, carttoon paraphernalia, souvenirs, alcohol. This is a must go area. Only minutes from the cruise terminal in Naha. Most stores open between 9 and 10 am

On my first day here it was windy and rainy. Now, the weather is very nice. I stay around here so I can just walk out of my hotel eat and shop around here at any time. There are many food and restaurants. Some open 24 hours.

Best shopping district for visitors and mainlanders around. This place always has something amazing to offer. Great for family adventures and date night!

Cool place to see many many shops and places to eat. Alot of visitors here so be prepared for crowds and busy shops/restaurants.

A nice tourist place destination in Naha ,Okinawa. A lot of shopping and souvenirs stores, restaurants. There’s also a nearby market place called Makishi Public Market where they sell fresh seafood and can be ordered to be cooked by nearby restaurants. Worth visiting if you’re in Naha..

Lively shopping part of town catering to tourists. Lots of good restaurants with excellent food. Some bars stay open late. Worth the visit.

Lots of restaurants and shops. Surprising amount of spam merchandise and orion beer. Nice lights to look at, fairly crowded.

Good place for souvenirs.. Place to visit in Naha.. last time I went there also have a cultural karate do events all the way the street. Nice place to visit

Almost too much to see and do here. Just a long street full of shops, restaurants, several fast food areas. That is only on the main street. If you venture off you will find more shops and perhaps even better deals if you're looking for souvenirs or certain foods. I went on Sunday so they had the streets closed off from 12 to 6 which makes getting around easy. Plus there are performers around that time too. Several hotels right near it too should you want to experience it bits at a time when off doing other stuff. Must see for tourists in Okinawa imo

The market had a lot of little shops that you can see, though I felt the prices were pretty ended expensive. The street has a lot of shops you can browse through and you can spend a few hours walking through here.

Very interesting walking street. However, due to Covid-19 some are closed, or some close earlier. There are local souvenirs, vegetables, fruits such as mango, papaya, ananas, banana, clothes and restaurants.
I bought cheap souvenirs and mango which was extremely delicious.

Kokusai Dori (International Street) closed to traffic on weekends 👍 except for the heavy downpour! ☔

A whimsical street full of souvenirs shops. Lots of small alleys away from Main Street worth to explore, especially walking to markets and small eateries. Don’t have great expectations than you will enjoy the relax and friendly experience.

Definitely worth stopping off at while in Okinawa. Can see it all in just over an hour, plus it has tons of great shops and food spots.
