No English menu available, but owners are willing to accommodate. Before ordering they always ask about any dietary restrictions. Meal set and homemade ginger beer were delicious. Environment was cosy and will definitely return.

Trust the maps where it says it is even if it looks oddly placed, it's literally hidden.
Low cost but excellent meals, chill atmosphere. There is no English menu so just look at what others have ordered or use live Google translate camera.

Warm and cosy space, bit hard to find though but it makes it up for it. Scrumptious and super fresh food. You get it catered to your taste and a must visit place for vegetarians. Surely recommend! Also chef speaks English, so no hassle. Enjoy with a beer or an ice tea.

Lovely food and great service.
The place had a Vegan set menu and that was delicious.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The place itself is quite hidden and it is very quirky.
I visited here on Tuesday.

Not easy to find but this place is an absolute gem. Fresh fish and an atmosphere that could be in the 1920’s this place is timeless. They speak English which was helpful.

Outstanding. We arrived mid afternoon for a late lunch (we hadn't booked or anything). On hearing that we were two vegans and a vegetarian, the kitchen went to work and produced three beautiful and delicious lunch plates. Should have taken photos but we just mowed through them! I forget what we paid exactly but it was very reasonable. There wasn't a long list of menu options, but you can definitely trust these guys and say 'please make me food' and you'll get something great. The premise is tucked away off the main street, quirky and comfortable.

Vegan foodie here and this is a hidden gem we came across. Sweetest people run this place. The chef said he will surprise us with a vegan meal plate and and boy was it delicious! To me felt like soul food ☺ Salad, fried eggplant, chickpeas curry, fried bitter gourd, mixed vegetable hash and rice. Thankful for such a lovely experience 🥰

This place is a hidden gem in Kamakura with some of the best food I’ve had in ages, so wander no more and try it out. Each dish while on the price slightly more dear side, commands it’s value with its amazing flavor. Delicately arranged dishes That pack a flavorsome punch. The interior alone would be with the trip too. Quirky Wes Anderson style wall paper and authentic vintage furniture make the dining experience like being in your own art house movie.
If your wondering is wort it, the answer is a resounding yes.

Great place. Very quaint. All the dishes in the menu were non veg.. I told the waiter was vegetarian. The chef made me a surprise meal. It was very tasty. I loved the egg cheese bake, the fried tofu and eggplant, the bean salad and aragula salad. Served with rice. They also provide vegan meals.

We are a vegan family of four, we visited the Kamakura temple and it was rainy and freezing. We walked to WanderKitchen and it was closed - the children were super hungry and it was about 3 PM - close to when most places close between lunch and dinner and we were running out of options , shivering in the cold. Someone ran up to us - she kindly offered to open Wanderkitchen and give us food. Ain was so kind to us and let us dry and get warm. We were up against another surprise, turns out they dont have anything vegan in the menu but she very kindly gave us a warm beautiful fresh vegan meal and hot tea. Ayn means love, she said. Overall I totally recommend this place and God bless you Ayn for being very kind to us today. Unforgettable Japanese hospitality and one of the highlights of our trip.

Wander Kitchen...is magical. A small, electic restaurant tucked away in an alley off of a side street in Kamakura. But for those of us that have been fortunate to discover this place...we are all grateful for it. Having a meal here...is not just having a meal. It is a respite from the world. It is traveling the world through the variety of global cuisines and flavors offered by Kuni-san. It is a warm and comfortable place to take some time to slow down and just breathe.
Don't believe me? Go experience it for yourself. :)

Nice price for this very extraordinary food. Most things are in Japanese, but they'll be translated by the waiter. Very unique and retro atmosphere.

Every meal I had at WanderKitchen was a delicious masterpiece! From Japanese to Greek to Egyptian, they can do it all! Truly a hidden gem that's worth every bite. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere and the amazing hospitality from Kuni-san, Ai-san and the rest of their team. Vegan & vegetarian friendly!

Been all over Japan and this was one of the best meals, atmosphere and overall experiences I had at a restaurant. The food was amazing. Fresh, flavorful and cooked with intention. And the owners are super friendly!
I went two nights while in Kamakura.
Had the Indian curry first night and green curry the 2nd night. Both nights I ordered the smoked duck appetizer.
Both those curry’s had to be some of the best curry’s I’ve ever had, and I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand and SE Asia.
Highly recommend you come here during your visit to Kamakura!
I’ll definitely be back next time I’m here.

First, this place is worth visiting just for the ambience itself.
Second, the recipes are a mix of international cuisine filtered by a japanese chef so cvery interesting (and delicious).
Go there!

Top two meals I’ve had in Japan! (Top two because I can’t choose which is first!) chef helped walk us through the menu, as we don’t speak Japanese, we chose our protein and he made us a meal better than we had expected! Food 10/10 service 10/0! If I find myself back in kamakura I’ll be back here!
