Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura

If you are going to Kamakura, this is where you should stay. We had an amazing room on the corner of the top floor overlooking the Tori gate. Everything in this hotel was better than any of the other places we stayed in throughout our trip. This was our best experience and we will definitely return. The hotel is right where you want to be and it is top notch. There are numerous good places to eat nearby and great shopping as well. The station is a short walk away and they have coin laundry machines! The whole place is gorgeous as well.

Best hotel on our trip so far. Very spacious and beautiful room, so centrally located to everything, and the nicest staff. They arranged for a rickshaw tour (also highly recommend, with the driver named Taichi) and escorted us to the meeting spot. They could not have been more accommodating to my mom and me, abd the hotel is so pretty inside. I’m shocked to see it is a 3-star hotel rather than a 4-star. So glad we went to Kamakura and happy we found this hotel instead of staying at one that was closer to the water.

Very nice rooms and quite large. Floor to ceiling windows make it bright. You do get some street noise if your room is on the main street side, but it was a nice tradeoff for the view.

First of all, staff are very welcoming! So friendly and helpful. Second, here the location is the best among all. And the third, the hotel is new so it is extremely clean and comfy. If you plan to stay in Kamakura for a couple of days, you must experience this hotel. I can guarantee that this is the best in Kamakura.

Currently here.. Fantastic hotel. The room is impeccably clean and can be redone every morning. Centrally positioned to many attractions. The staff speaks very good English too 👍

The hotel is only minutes walk away from the train station. It’s also minutes walk from the shopping street Komachi, and walking distance to seaside and shrines. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will stay again for the next time.

Best hotel experience in Japan so far. The room is huge and the interior is modern and clean. Location is great, close to the station.

Prime location in the heart of Kamakura with easy access to attractions like the Great Buddha and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. The staff was welcoming and the room was spacious, comfortable, and elegantly designed

The hotel is in an excellent location, and the rooms are spacious and beautiful. The lobby's fragrance is delightful, providing a luxurious ambiance. This is a hotel I will definitely choose whenever I come to Kamakura.

Great stay! Big, comfortable beds- we slept in a king. Japanese-modern décor. Short walk from the train/bus station. Top notch customer service, especially from the concierge. They even found and saved my lost iPhone charger, and when I returned for it, they gave it to me in a lovely tote with a handle. They’ll hold your bags until check out, and after check out also for a few hours if needed. We will return here and definitely recommend!

A very nice hotel very cozy and comforting ambience. the amenities in the room are also great and very useful it's a perfect place to spend a night after going around this wonderful town of Kamakura. thanks a lot to the staff which is extremely helpful and polite. Great location and hospitality. Early check-in was arranged by the amazing front office when the room was ready. Muji cafe and store located on the ground floor was a plus.

We stayed here for one night and it was amazing. The hotel staff provided amazing service. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Also, great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Stay here when you're visiting Kamakura.

Really great hotel experience. Excellent clean rooms with wooden design and a nice spacious bathroom. Central location and 2 min walk to main train station. Main entrance a bit difficult to find and hotel reception is on second floor (have to take elevators up to it). Would recommend not getting breakfast included (as it is attached to the Muji cafe downstairs) so you can try other options/food places which would be a better experience. Overall highly recommended.

Super nice hotel. Quiet and modern with good amenities. Really enjoyed staying here.
Breakfast is of high quality but the menu is the same everyday. We enjoyed the Japanese breakfast & the curry very well though. Also the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Hotel exceeded all expectations and is conveniently located near the train and bus station. Highly recommend.

Hotel and staff amazing. Great wooden theme throughout, a relaxing stay. Staff very courteous best in Japan to date by a lot. Unfortunately let down by breakfast. Held in the cafe on the ground floor which is run by the Muji clothing store. Service was fine, not great. Food average. A shame as it doesn't match the hotel experience. However wouldn't stop me from staying here again. I would just eat elsewhere.
