Chisun Grand Nagano

5-10 minutes walk from Nagano station. Although the hotel seems rather old (from the 80s-90s) the room was nice, clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly as well. The reception lounge also had complimentary drinks, coffee, tea, chocolate, which was nice.

Breakfast was buffet, traditional Japanese breakfast style, with some western dishes like scrambled eggs and sausages. Really good spread, atypical Japanese breakfast items like stewed daikon and fish, miso eggplant, and onsen egg among others. They tasted really good too, and gives a warm and homely feeling which made me very happy (both in stomach and heart). Not to mention the restaurant was on the 12th floor, so you get a nice view of the townscape and trains passing by.

Tldr, it was a nice stay for what it was worth, even by Japanese standards.

Spacious room and a great lobby to rest and have a drink. There is a luggage locker for guests to use also.

Very convenient and clean hotel, next to the train station. A lot of amenities in the lobby where you can rest and drink coffee while waiting to catch your train. Only minus point are the rooms that would need to be renovated.

Very fond of this hotel, highly recommended. If I return to Nagno, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

🛌 room was spacious, comfortable, and tidy. I especially enjoyed the large window for the natural lighting. The table, chair and desk were also nice.

Nice value for money. Hotel is clean, rooms are not too small. Free amenities in the lobby and easy parking right next door.

This hotel looks and feels old school. But there's nothing wrong with old school. Sure things may not be shiny as it once was, but it has very friendly staffs. And it's still very well kept and clean. Plus, there's ice maker on every floor! What a great idea, if I want cold drinks in the night, I just need step out the room. In fact every hotel should have this. In future I'll deduct one star from any hotel that doesn't have ice makers on every floor! 😁

Only a few minute walk from the Nagano station. The hotel is situated at a quiet place facing a small park. The room is spacious and clean. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast is good. An ideal place to stay when you are either transiting or sight-seeing at Nagano City.

Rooms are very nice, spacious with western style softer mattresses and pillows. Bathroom is also larger than normal for Japanese hotels. Thoroughly recommended. Location is convenient being a 5min walk to Nagano Station and many shops and restaurants close by.

We have been there just a one night but I can imagine stay there longer. Nice Hotel with great service. Place was clean and for a good price. They offer free drinks for hotel guests. There is also washing machine and restaurant with nice view.

ONE of The BEST HOTEL in NAGANO. What makes it standout is the kindness and excellence of their staff. And the 24x7 Free coffee/choco at the lobby! :)

The rooms are good and well kept. Their breakfast spread is good if u are looking for authentic Japanese breakfast. My kids and Love this place like our home away from home.

Breakfast here was wonderful! It's on the top level 12th floor of the hotel with great views over the city (or just white mist if it's a misty day), and super relaxing music. The dining area has a tatami mat floor, so remember to take your shoes off. Great selection of food, with your usual Western eggs, bacon, sausage, salad, toast, cereal, fruit, as well as a lovely selection of Japanese foods - beef donburi, teriyaki salmon, egg roll, hamburg, congee, pickles, soba, soybean eggplant, and more. My favorite thing was that there were different tiny cute plates and bowls beside each dish, so that you could compose your own beautiful breakfast set on a tray. Also great for watching your portions, as this is a buffet. A wonderful start to the day, for only 20 AUD.

Rooms were a little bit dated (creaky wardrobe) but perfectly comfortable and a super spacious floor area for opening up your suitcases. Hard bed as per usual for Japan.

A lovely amenities area downstairs in the lobby where you can have free coffee/hot chocolate or matcha latte from the machine, and collect your own tea sachets, toiletries, etc. There's also a wall of cards you can take to the reception to borrow items for free - weighing scales, adapters, extra blanket, etc.

8 minutes walk from the train station and restaurants, super convenient!

Really impressed with this hotel. I wasn't expecting much as it was cheap and had "3 stars" but the hotel really overdelivered. The room was large and modern. You pickup all the amenities you need at reception. There's even a complimentary smart phone with data and international call inclusive for the stay. Breakfast was buffet style with western and traditional Japanese. Overall, thoroughly recommend

Very nice and cozy hotel. Surprisingly spacious, not at all suffocating like most budget hotels in Japan. The room was quite big, so was the bathroom, and all spotlessly clean.

Overall this hotel is very good and well priced because of it having amazing views of the city from beautiful restaurant located in the 12th floor and exceptional customer service from every member there.

It located a short walk from the station, it is close to small shops encase of you needing any snacks or drinks.

I would highly recommend going to here especially as it the standards of the hotel won't let you down.

We spent 1 night in the Chisun Grand Nagano hotel. Our experience with it was excellent right from the beginning. They allowed us to leave our luggage there before we could check in. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is big and everything is very clean. You have a free smartphone at your disposable in your room. The phone has internet and free international calls. Room is well equipped. We were accommodated on the 7th floor with beautiful view. In the lobby you have 24/7 free tea and choco.

The room was pretty big and clean and the location of the hotel is very nice.
You even got a free mobile phone with internet during your stay which is amazing for tourists.
The staff is very friendly and the accommodation with the vending machine, free coffee and washing machine is very convenient for travelers.
The breakfast is slightly expensive so I couldn't take it

The Chosen Grand in Nagano is no exception. It is a very clean and well-serviced hotel, with only one negative point - the restaurant closes way too early. But this is not a problem, the hotel is located in the city center and there is a huge selection on restaurants in from of the door. When you book an upper floor you'll have a nice view over the nicely located city od Nagano.

•Corteous staff and cleaning is very satisfactory.
•Breakfast is delicious with an amazing view.
•My family particularly liked the free matcha tea in the lobby.
•Staff speak good english.
