Admission to the park for adults is 450 yen and parking for a car is 400 yen. The park is very large and beautiful. I went in early October so the kokia bushes weren't quite red yet. but very suitable for picnics, dates and great for walking in the park, very quiet, gentle and beautiful in 4 seasons!❤❤❤ Hitachi park in Ibaraki💯

Beautiful autumn season to see hitachi seaside park! Less crowded if you come early in the morning or later in the afternoon 1-2 hours before closing. You can get solo shots without people by waiting a few minutes. I have several great solo pictures! You can spend an entire day here, there is an amusement park, various food around the park, and a huge park where you can sit and enjoy some picnic or play with your kids.

I went there on 17/October/2023. Kochia was almost completely red, along with the cosmos flower field.
The park area is very big, you can enjoy the sight seeing train ( seaside train), it is 600 yen for 1 day pass. For bus ticket ( from katsuta stat to park) including park entrance fee are 930 yen for adult. And 800 yen for Ferris wheel.
It’s the weekday, but still a bit crowded.
There are many food stalls inside the park with reasonable price and delicious.

The overall experience was good. It was really lucky that we rent bicycles at the entrance of the park (600yen/3hr). The park was too big to travel by walking, and there was a convenient network of bicycle track around the park.

I took many photos of the sunflowers and “grass balls”. The regions were well maintained and the plants were well grown. The “grass balls” covered the whole hill and the view is just marvellous.

It definitely worth visiting again in other seasons.

P.S. The combined ticket for the train + entrance ticket was on discount (700yen) remember to grab it at the Katsuta station. You can travel to the fish market to have lunch in Nakaminato Fish Market, and hop on the train again to the final station. From there, you can walk around 20 minutes to the South Gate of the park.

Hitachi Seaside Park offers a diverse landscape that may take up to 3 hours to fully explore. The park's expansive grounds provide a variety of attractions, from wide open spaces to themed gardens. However, my visit was marred by the disappointment of finding no flowers planted in the usually vibrant Miharashi Hill. Despite this setback, the park's other features, such as its cycling paths, sand dunes, and amusement facilities, contribute to a generally enjoyable experience.

Visiting this place during autumn exactvdate 1 nov 2023, and the red Kochia is still red but some of them are already brownish and dried. Suggest to go in the middle of Oct during Kochia peak time, but better to check first on their website for further info. Aside kochia there is also cosmoss flower and ompass grass. Very beuatiful place. It's around 2-2.5 hour from Tokyo. I use the train from Tokyo st. until Katsuta st. and continue with the bus that directly stops in front of the gate. I paid 680 yen already include an entry ticket (450¥) and round trip bus from Katsuta st. to the park.

a very extraordinary garden, a stretch of kochea that resembles a magnificent carpet. The park is very large with beautiful sea views, but it would be better before coming here to see when it is recommended to visit and don't forget to look at the weather forecast. To visit here you can buy a one day bus ticket as well as an entry ticket at a cheap price in front of Katsuta Station. and it is very easy to find because there are many officers guiding there. Maybe it would be better if you came during working hours because there are so many visitors who are enthusiastic about going there.

Such a gorgeous park! Even in March on a cloudy/rainy day I really enjoyed my time here. The daffodils were in full bloom, and they were beautiful. Lucky for us, the nemophila bloomed early and we got to see a nicely bloomed hill of them. Absolutely worth the trip!

The nemophilia are finished now for the season, but it's still a great place to visit. My highlight was the aroma garden which was full of herbs, roses and berry trees. Walked around the whole park which took about 2 hrs - didn't go on any of the rides etc. Lots of toilets around the park.

Beautiful and spacious park famous for its seasonal flowers. We visited during nemophila or baby blue eyes season, just a bit past peak (May 6, 2023). It was still beautiful. The nanoha flowers were also still blooming. The yellow and blue were a great contrast, It has many flower areas, so I'm sure there is plenty to see during each season. As long as you expect crowds during peak seasons, you will have a good time. Check the website for seasonal pricing and hours, as it opens earlier and costs a bit more during the full bloom. There is abundant parking available. There are also a few cafes and sometimes festival food. You can try nemophilia flavored tea and ice cream - though I'm not sure I can recommend either haha. Of course, there is also a gift shop. If you collect stamps, you can ask anyone at the entrance and they will bring it out.

I'm sure it's a great spot for locals to spend the day. It was also great as a tourist! If you will be in the area and enjoy flowers, this seems like a great stop.

Beautiful sea of flowers. Worth coming to view the magnificent seasonal blossom. But get ready for the crowd especially peak season.

One of the most beautiful parks I have been to. Memorable experience. The hill with the flowers, unforgettable memories. A must-go place in your itinerary. Parking fee 520, entrance fee 1400 for 2 adults and 2 young kids, 1-day pass for seaside park train 600 each. Ferris wheel 600 each. Popular food is the gyoza and dumplings about 500 yen. Flowers are seasonal.

Highly recommended place to visit & enjoy, the park entrance fee is quite affordable! A lot of parking area! And the park is BIIIGG, and many places to view & see. we glad we purchased the train to take us around. There is also option to rent a bike. Or i think u allowed to drive inside (though i am not sure about this detail)

Please keep in mind, since its located at seaside with hills, its quite windy & chilly. Please be prepare to walk & wear comfortable shoes.

The park is clean & well maintained, the staff is very friendly & accommodating,
Kids friendly as well with ramps for stroller & wheelchairs

The panoramic view is priceless! There are several gardens to see, the blue nemophila & yellow narcissus is adjacent to one & the other while the tulip garden is located at stop 9.

Definitely worth to visit & spend a day at the park with friends & family
Highly Recommended !

Beautiful! Came at the end of October and the kochia were starting to brown a little but still very pretty to look at, and surrounded by other flowers in nearby gardens. Quite a lot of foot traffic for it being near the end of the season.

Definitely a must visit place.. we visited this place during the summer season and unfortunately it was terrible weather.. But there were completely lush green bushes everywhere which was a pleasing experience for everyone. We can borrow bicycles for 3hrs and it costs around 400¥.. apart from this there is a water play area, small eatery shops, small golf area, ATV, dirt racing as well. The entry ticket is 450¥/adult.. no tickets for kids below 4yrs.. This place is well maintained and has a lot of activities to enjoy for everyone...

Figures are in summer-autumn 2022.

You pay a fee to visit for adult. Check the flower calendar on their website to see what's in stock right now. Try the ice cream there, it's so cute and delicious.
