Life Asakusa

Came here looking for exclusive kitkats and ended up with an amuse-bouche for dinner!

If you want a quick and easy snack/meal be sure to go to a supermarket. Their selection was huge, ranging from sushi, sashimi to yakisoba.

I opted for a mixed sushi box, karaage and smoked duck breast!

Their selection of groceries were great and as for the kitkats, they were cheaper than the local Don Quiote store, but you can't get tax refund if you're buying loads!

Excellent grocery store, reminds me of Marks and Spencer (but i won't shop there again) in the UK.

The prices are a little high in certain areas but they do reduce items in the evening, after 8-ish. Then you can get a few bargains.

And I met a few nice tourists while there, nice to have a chat.

Price maybe not the lowest but reasonable. The most important thing is that you can use virtual credit card to pay! (i.e. Google pay) Highly recommend this super market for no-cash travellers!
Not all the Japanese stores support it, most of the stores, even the department stores usually require using a physical card.

Great supermarket with a wide selection of sushi, ready to eat food, seafood, and fruits and vegetables. The store sections are labeled in Japanese and English. The sushi quality is very good. The quality may not be that of Tsukiji Fish Market, but definitely better than in most sushi restaurants in the US

There's actually a 2nd and 3th floor. I was wondering where all the ingredients are 😂. I find out on my last day in japan.

Tax refund counter at B1, staffs are very helpful & kind. You can find almost everything here.

One of my favorite groceries stores in the area, LIFE has almost anything you could need, plus a whole floor of home goods and a wide selection of ready-made foods, as well. They even have a small organic/vegan section upstairs. The lines are sometimes a bit long so they’d benefit from having a few more registers, but otherwise this is a pretty great grocery store. I’d go more often if I lived a bit closer.

The selection of fresh goodies is off the chart. Self-service payment is awesome.

I do night shopping here, and it's the best if you're looking for deals. By 20:00, they start putting delicacies on sale. You'll go as much as 50% off from their products. As a tourist, I go out of my airbnb to buy dinner AND breakfast here. I saves my more than a penny :)

A very good supermarket for those that live in Asakusa

it's pretty good, has lots of food stuff. fresh vegetables and fruits, ready to eat pizza, sandwiches, sushi, bentos. and cheeses and drinks.

It has so many variant of foods! I regret knew this place on my last day in Japan. But for sure, I'll be back and looking for a hotel near Life Shop!
