I’ve been here throughout the years and this is my favorite park in this area. Not only is the parking free but you can see a majestic view of the ultimate Mt Fuji!! It’s so beautiful here!!! Make sure you check the weather!! If it’s cloudy, it’ll ruin your view. The souvenir shop has so many selections and I love it!

Perfect place to see and take photos of Fujisan.

Lavender Icecream is popular. If you go with a bus tour. First thing to do is line up to get the ice cream or you might miss out. It has very long queue.

Souvenir shop offers interesting stuff. Manage your time carefully so you get to do a bit of each thing.

The park is huge and relaxing when we went there. We are blessed to see Mt Fuji on the park, flowers are still not flourishing by that time. Overall the park os good

Great, great ambience and a stunning view of Mt Fuji. Not much to describe in text, but let the pictures speak for itself. The Apple-Strawberry soft serve is photogenic but taste is a 3 out of 5. Try other flavors. Souvenir shop was also fun and had a lot of gifts to take back home.

Visiting Mt. Fuji was an unforgettable experience, enhanced by the mystique of its elusive peak. On our second visit, we were initially met with the same partial visibility of the cone as last year. However, patience rewarded us with a stunning view of approximately 80% of its majesty around high noon. For those planning a trip, I highly recommend traveling via JR trains over the pricier tour packages for a more authentic and satisfying adventure.

Beautiful park with a lake fronting Mount Fuji. It has a place to eat and for souvenirs. On a nice day, pictures of Fuji is incredible.

Beautiful location to see the full view of Mount Fuji. Came by here in end June and the lavender fields were so beautiful. Highly recommend having the grape soft serve ice cream from the cafe.
Side tip is to head up to the second floor of the cafe to get an even better view of Mount Fuji with the flower garden below! 🗻🌷🌼🪻

Went here during the new year week and we got a clear sight of Mt. Fuji even though the weather forecast said it will be cloudy. The place also gives you a view of Lake Kawaguchi and there are several photo spots you can choose to capture both in a background. There is also a souvenir shop to take home some Mt. Fuji goodies

Love this place.
I always visit here everytime I come to Japan
It's my third times and still don't get bored of it.

You can get different Fuji views during different times of the year that's why i keep visiting here. Fall, Spring, Winter and Summer.

It's the last bus stop for anyone who take a red line public bus

Recommend for the ice cream. Only 500 jpy, i got myself 3 ice creams 😂
The best among all was blue rose-lavender. Yeah sounds weird but so good 😳😳

Solid place where you can get a great view of Fuji (if you're lucky and the weather gods choose to favor you)

1. Beware that there are throngs of tourists here as well, so if you want to catch a photo without a lot of people crowding around, be ready to jump on the alternative photo angles as well as snap quickly
2. Do be careful and not step into the flowers itself and not ruin it for everyone!
3. They have cremia around the area, so once you are tired from walking, quickly just walk around for a quick rest.

The park is at the final station (20) of Red line and always open. Nice view to Lake Kawaguchi. The path is 1 km long with an easy walk, while admire the beautiful flowers (except winter and snowing).

Very nice place with large souvenir shop with tasty soft serve ice cream.

I suggest doing some research on what time to come to catch the peak season of certain flowers.

I imagine the view of Fuji from here would be very nice. Unfortunately it was very cloudy when I went

I love this place! Interesting ice cream and Fuji is so close.. it actually looks closer IRL than in the photos. The lavender ice cream tastes like lavender but I recommend the Kyoho ice cream mixed with the shine muscat.. delicious. The walk back across the bridge is amazing tho really windy today and it’s in the middle of winter. The sunset is so memorable and every scene is like a post card as we watch the sunset ❤ there is a Family Mart along the way which does yummy oden and you can use the toilet.

Nestled on the northern shores of Lake Kawaguchi, Oishi Park is a captivating haven that seamlessly weaves nature’s artistry with the iconic silhouette of Mount Fuji. As you step into this botanical sanctuary, the first thing that strikes you is the breathtaking panorama that unfolds – a canvas of vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and the majestic presence of Japan’s highest peak.

The park, aptly named ‘Oishi’ meaning delicious in Japanese, is a feast for the senses. Rows of seasonal flowers – from cherry blossoms in spring to vibrant dahlias in autumn – create a kaleidoscope of colors that dance harmoniously with the changing seasons. The fragrance of blooming flowers hangs in the air, creating an olfactory symphony that complements the visual spectacle.

Strolling along the meandering pathways, I found well-placed benches and shaded alcoves that invite visitors to linger and absorb the tranquility. The park is meticulously landscaped, with the design giving careful consideration to framing Mount Fuji in the background. Every turn seems like a postcard-worthy snapshot, and it’s evident that the creators intended for this space to be both a visual and contemplative retreat.

For those seeking a moment of reflection, the lakeside promenade offers unobstructed views of Mount Fuji’s reflection on Lake Kawaguchi. It’s a serene spot where time seems to stand still, allowing visitors to connect with nature and appreciate the profound beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Oishi Park also features a charming souvenir shop and a café, strategically positioned to offer panoramic views. While enjoying a cup of matcha or browsing through locally crafted trinkets, one can’t help but feel grateful for the thoughtfulness that went into curating this space.

In conclusion, Oishi Park is more than a botanical garden; it’s a celebration of nature’s splendor in the shadow of Mount Fuji. Whether you’re an avid photographer, a nature enthusiast, or someone seeking a peaceful escape, Oishi Park invites you to savor the delicious beauty that Japan’s landscape so generously offers. It’s an ode to the artistry of nature, a place where each petal and leaf contributes to the symphony of serenity.

This is a beautiful park with a clear view of Mt. Fuji. We visited in the winter, so the flowers weren't in bloom, but it was still a great spot. There are several walkways and photo spots. The gift shop sells amazing soft serve, and I recommend the lavender flavor!

I was here on 14 Dec 2023. Fortunately the sky was clear and we could see fujisan with snow on top of it! You should try the cremia ice cream and lavender ice cream here, they were delicious. I think it's about 1 hour to get here from kawaguchiko station. It's a must place to go if you come to kawaguchiko area.

Best view of Mt Fuji is here ! You can see the famous mountain in Japan clearly and closely. This place also have thousand flower and trees with hundreds of colour! All you need to reach this place is using bus from gotemba station and it takes approx 1 hour. Then you must transfer to kawaguchi bus for 40 minutes ride. But it will be paid off when you arrived.

One of the famous tourist place in Japan. If you would like to see Mt. Fuji, highly recommended. You can enjoy the spectacular view with Kawaguchi lake and feel the four seasons. It’s all up to the weather, but I recommend to come in Autumn.
