Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park

Very friendly park with lots of facilities, big playgrounds and a water playing area. You can feel local life here quietly.

This park celebrates the first avian runway in Japan. You will encounter various types of aircrafts that are displayed in some open spaces. Those who are not interested in aircraft’s can also enjoy the park. A flight simulator is available.

Awesome park with something for everyone. Lots of beautiful old growth trees, fields, running/walking and biking routes, sports fields, basketball courts, large children's playground area, and peaceful gardens/pond, and a few food trucks.
Plenty of drinking fountains for people and pets alike throughout the park.
We've seen periodical swap/flea market.
Multiple parking areas that are free for the first couple hours any day of the week.
General park area seems to be accessible 24/7 with free admission.

Big and nice place, perfect if u want to rest with your family

Big park for Japan! During Cherry Blossom season it is quite full and popular. This use to be an old airport, hence there is so much space. I especially like running near the small pond. There are small festivals and events held here throughout the year too.

Beautiful park with museum, baseball park and tennis court.
Hanami is perfect here. It's beside the Koku Koen station, bus terminal and nearby the Tokorozawa city hall.

Huge park. Visited here to see the Pokémon manhole.

Ideal for everyone interested in Aviation! The flight simulator has specific operating hours, so be careful to come in the designated time slots if you want to try it.

What a huge open space park! Wonderful to spend a day letting the kids run around! Peaceful with lots of friendly people and a great aviation museum.

Great park! Lots of space to sit, run, play. Has the aviation museum within where they have a small restaurant and a cinema that shows aviation related videos. Lots of green to just spread a sheet and chill out. Has two half basketball courts, badminton court, jogging tracks, about 3-4 car parking lots (first 2 hours free, and 100 yen from the next). Open 24 hours but I think the car parking has timings. Easily accessible and connected to Kokukoen station if you're using public transportation.

Great park for families. The playground is excellent - lots of choice and suited to all ages. In the summer there is a wading river and a good portion of it is in the shade.

On the grounds is the superb Aviation museum and a library, among other public facilities.

Parking is charged but very reasonably priced. Spaces are hard to come by though as the park is very popular.

I certainly love this place. I was stationed here 54 years ago, with 504th Medical during the Vietnam conflict. The US decided to closed down the unit and gave the area back to the Japanese. The Japanese made this area into a huge park, very pretty. This place bring back wonderful memories. I visit this place every time I get the change.

Great place for the family! Small (but a little expensive) cafe in the aviation museum building. Several activities for kids and adults, including a theatre. The park is huge, no need worrying for space. Walking trails as well.

Featuring wide walking lanes to stroll past the park's many unique spaces. Plenty of grassy areas to play or relax on. Weather permitting, the weekend transforms the park into a family filled playland. The lively atmosphere is infectious to even the most jaded.

Wow what a park!! My husband and I were looking for a park we could go and let the kids run and this park is wonderful!

great place if you like planes, or history. Worth 1 visit, but not worth repeating. Tokorozawa was the first airfield in Japan, and was the main training location up to the WW2. Some materials are also in English.
