Yumiharinooka Hotel

Went to this hotel for the first time. I had a friend recommend it to me, although I didn’t stay in a room I did use the onsen and it was a fantastic experience. Tattoo friendly which is great as well. I brought my own towel and it was only ¥700 (I don’t know for sure if a towel is extra) to use the onsen, which included the onsen, a cold pool, and a sauna. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner were provided. But I brought my own soap since I was expecting to pay for it. If you’re going would recommend to just bring your usual shower amenities and a washcloth to put on your head in the sauna so your hair doesn’t get too hot. Fantastic experience and I will be returning frequently, there was an amazing view too.

Great location! Very beautiful views all day long. The food is good and well priced. The rooms are large (western sized) and comfortable. There are several balconies to have a drink at with friends. The pool is nice and so is the onsen and massage chairs. There are vending machines for chu hi and beer on the 1st floor. The staff is professional and very helpful!! Excellent value for the price. Our only suggestion for inprovement if management happens to see this: please add lounge chairs at the pool!

A beautiful hotel near the top of Yumiharidake in the center of Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

The hotel offers luxury suites, a fantastic pool deck and amazing views of the surrounding seaside including the popular 99 Islands.

The biggest selling point for this hotel is the view. They are amazing. It was a pleasure to go to sleep looking at the city lights below and to wake up to stunning sunrises. The staff is first class! From the front desk, to the restaurant, to the housekeepers, to the driver of the free shuttle bus into town/train station...everyone was extremely warm, friendly, and polished. The room itself was spacious (non smoking twin) and this Western body found the beds to be very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a large variety of Japanese items and fresh fruit. The only negative is that the room was very worn and in need of a refresh. The wallpaper was wearing off the walls, the varnish on the table and desk were worn through, and the upholstery on the desk chair was worn. The room was very clean, just worn. If I didn’t have a car doing business would be tough as the first bus into town didn’t leave the hotel until 8am. I am very glad I had the opportunity to spend a few nights at Yumiharinooka Hotel and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Sasebo. Did I mention the views were amazing?

Didnt stay here but dropped by to have their lunch buffet. Food is good and satisfying. Scenery is beautiful.
