Real Bedouin Experience Tours & Camp

We had an amazing time staying here! It's unbelievably beautiful, especially at sunset and sunrise. The tents are quite comfortable and there are great bathroom/ shower facilities onsite. Salem and Frances were lovely and thoughtful hosts and provided delicious food and lots of tea. We did a camel ride, which was delightful, and a half-day tour, and only wished we had been able to stay longer. It's such a unique and beautiful place.

We were there for a night and the following morning we did their 4 hours jeep tour. Everything was awesome: the food, the night stars, the room, the silent, the sunset and the sunrise and the final jeep tours.

Nested deep into the Wadi Rum desert, with the absolute perfect location to watch the sunset (and away from most tourists), we found this peaceful place and were mostly welcomed by Salem and his brothers: Salah and Mohammed.
Salem and Salah are so attentive and made us feel welcomed, safe and at home! They told us a lot about their culture and their love for the desert. We had an unforgettable bonfire night with tales and stories under the cover of the stars. Mohammed is a great cook - you will be sure to eat great Bedouin food!

The accommodation itself was spotless and so cozy! Warm beds and absolutely clean spotless toilets, with the perks of being able to see the Milky Way at night!

They provide a range of tours - do them! We did a half day and a full-day tour, covering most of the highlights in the area. They were super flexible and helpful adjusting to our schedule and helped us to find taxis to and from Wadi Rum.

We loved absolutely everything.

I did a full day camel tour and stayed the night in the camp. I was a solo female traveller and I dont think I could have had a more comfortable and relaxed experience.
Booking was easy and Frances was great at providing all details needed up front.
Wonderful hospitality all around.
I ended up being the only guest in camp that evening but spending the evening with Salem and Frances was like hanging out with 2 old friends.
Facilities were impeccably clean! Probably the cleanest I have seen in Jordan.
It is equipped with running water, flush toilets, showers, USB charging port, and electric outlets. All while maintaining a rustic experience. Towel included.
Meals provided were also good.

I purposely chose this camp for its remote location and good reviews, and happily it was a fantastic experience. The camp is practically the last one before the wide expanse of the desert, and it's in a beautiful location with a little hill just behind it for perfect sunsets. The tents are good sized with clean bedlinen, power point and USB charging. Bathrooms are very clean and managed to have nice warm showers in the evening (morning showers might be colder). Towels provided. Best of all are the wonderful staff. Salem was a very gracious and friendly host and he guided us on a climb up to Burdah bridge and a full day 4x4 tour. He is full of information. Frances was always there to help and chat and Mohammed was a great cook! Breakfasts are plentiful, tea always available and we also had 2 great evening meals, followed by a wonderful long chat by the fire with tea and sweets and many stories.
I highly recommend staying more than 1 night to really start to appreciate the beauty of Wadi Rum. Thanks once again for this unique experience

Having been in Wadi Rum for the second time and after 2 desert tours, I can say this camp is most beautifully situated, authentic and with great views. It is a fantastic place of beauty, peace, friendly atmosphere, good food and nice tents, and with the most spacious and cleanest toilets and showers in Jordan. I recommend to stay there for 2 nights.

Salem introduced us to his culture at the fireside under the stars, Mutlok (sorry for the spelling) guided us up Umm Adaami and around Wadi Rum and Mohammed treated us with delicious food. Friendly and helpful staff, one of the best camp ⛺ in The Valley to watch the sunset 🌅, very quiet place, nice zarb dinner. Tea ☕ coffee ☕ water for free. Cleaned toilet and nice shower, towels available.

I have had the privilege to spend a night in this Bedouin camp and it has been an incredible experience! Besides the tidiness and the location (you really are surrounded by the wild beauty and silence of the desert), what made my experience so memorable was the incredible welcome and company of Salem Nasser Alzalabeah! He cooked a delish dinner in the most traditional way and shared so many incredible stories about traditions and customs of Bedouin tribes in Wadi Rum. I felt home...
I would strongly recommend to stay at the Real Bedouin Experience camp and let Salem be your guide in this magnificent landscape!
P.S. if you decide to visit Salem, remember to ask him to tell you the Camel joke...

Real Bedouin Experience Tours & Camp was a great experience from beginning till end.
I booked my overnight stay in the Bedouin camp and the Jeep tour only 2 days in advance and everything worked out without any problems.
Salem, the owner of the camp, gave very clear instructions on how to get to the meeting point and he picked me up on the agreed time.
Once arrived at the camp, I got served fresh Bedouin tea. The camp is located on the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset, either directly from the camp, or the small hill behind the camp (3min hike).
After sunset the delicious dinner got served, traditionally prepared and cooked the Bedouin way.
Later the evening we sat around a campfire, drinking tea, sharing stories, singing and laughing until bedtime. The sleeping tent comes with a comfy bed and also electricity.
I got up in the middle of the night to enjoy the milky way and shooting stars - absolutely worth it!
In the morning a generous breakfast gets served before we startet our 4h Jeep tour through the beautiful protected area of Wadi Rum. I struggle to find the words to describe the astonishing beauty of it! Salem made sure to show me as much as possible in the 4 hours tour and still managed to take a break for some Bedouin tea.
It was an experience of a lifetime, and I regret not staying longer in Salems camp.

Wadi Rum is a very special place on earth that must be appreciated in a very special way.
You must feel connected to nature and the millions of years that went into the creation of this paradise.
And, after a lot o research, I'm very glad my wife and I picked the Real Bedouin Experience Tours & Camp.
Frances, who handles the bookings, is one of the sweetest people I've ever met and she's extremely professional and passionate about Wadi Rum.
Salem, the "Real Bedouin" part of the name, is equally kind and invested in making sure you can enjoy this paradise on earth.
Now, for the practical stuff, the tents are simple but very comfortable, and they remembered to add essentials for the modern life, like a USB port to charge your smartphone.
The bathrooms are spotless and give you the unique experience to shower WITH the mountain!
The food is plenty and very tasty, their prices are very reasonable and include everything promised, unlike the camps that advertise a ridiculously low price for the stay and everything else is charged extra!
On top of everything I mentioned, the camp is the farthest away as possible from de Wadi Rum Village, giving you an incredible sense of remoteness and an unbelievable open view of the sunset.
Wadi Rum is a once in a lifetime experience and Salem and Frances helped us make it even more memorable.

People are very nice and friendly, food is delicious and the view from the camp, surreal. It is located far in the desert, therefore there is not much traffic.

Staying at this camp was one of the highlight of my trip to Jordan. There are so many camps to choose from in Wadi Rum, but I believe this is one of the best. The camp is small but has everything you need. The camp is far from the other more touristic camps, and it is in a perfect spot for watching the sunset.

What made our experience unforgettable is the warm hospitality of the people that run the camp. Thank you very much to Salem and Saleh for showing us the beauty of the Wadi Rum and making us live as beduins for one day - this experience felt authentic and priceless. We enjoyed very much listening to songs by the campfire. Frances was very helpful in providing information before our arrival - just ask for anything you need and you’ll get a swift reply.

I couldn’t recommend this camp more, and I would definitely consider returning to the camp next time I visit Jordan. I will be looking forward to do some of the less touristic activities around Wadi Rum that can be organised by the people running the camp.

Il posto è meraviglioso, tutto pulito, tenda con il letto comodissimo. La cena e la colazione buonissima… abbiamo mangiato cibo tradizionale e abbiamo bevuto tantissimo tea.
Il giorno dopo ci hanno portato a vedere il deserto, devo dire che per me è stata un’esperienza indimenticabile. Loro sono stati sempre molto gentili e disponibili.

Maravillosa experiencia imposible de describir con palabras... los hermanos Salehm ( disculpas si no se escribir bien el nombre) se han desvivido por hacernos pasar una experiencia y aventura que jamas olvidaremos... un lugar maravilloso con una estancia realmente comoda en sus Jaimas limpias y cuidadas con una comida estupenda... Mi enhorabuena y mis Felicitaciones a estos anfitriones del campamento que lo hacen verdaderamente bien... Recomendable 💯 x💯👍✌

No tengo palabras para explicar lo bueno que pueden llegar a ser. La ubicación es espectacular, es limpio, bonito y cómodo y la comida es muy muy rica y variada, pero lo mejor de todo son las personas que allí trabajan. Se desviven por hacer de tu estancia una auténtica experiencia. Hicimos un tour con ellos y el conductor Sale (lo siento si lo he escrito mal ;)) un crack. Sinceramente muchas gracias por poder vivir lo que sentimos allí. Sois un 10.
