Sun City Camp

This is a wonderful place to stay! Our group stayed in the tents and they were great. They have a wonderful view of the desert and are very cozy! The bathrooms were really big and the showers were nice too. That staff is so nice and very accommodating with food and rooms. I would definitely come back! It was also very safe and we were able to do camel rides and jeep tours from the site!

Fabulous camp, clean and tidy. Air con and heating in accommodation. The staff couldn't do more to make our stay memorable. A very special place

We like the room, is clean and specious. We have a camel ride near the hotel, the view is amazing. Mr Abofares introduced us the dinner and all the staffs services are excellent. A great team put on a good dinner buffet, we really enjoyed.

I know there are a lot of camp options in Wadi Rum but you won't go wrong with staying at Sun City Camp. The rooms are extremely comfortable - great shower and very comfortable bed. Food is very good. Service is great - whatever you need they will help you achieve. Views are gorgeous and location is great. Don't hesitate to spend a bit more - you get what you pay for.

I have only excellent things to say about this camp.

📍 First of all, the location is optimal as you can get there using your own car. It is right off the main road (it’s not very big nor is it noisy) but still feels like you are in the middle of the desert as all accommodations look away from the road.

🥘 The food was delicious. There was a surprisingly big range of food considering we were in the middle of the desert. My sister is vegetarian and I am gluten+dairy free and we had no trouble. Everything was delicious and the chef very kind and helpful. Make sure to have him prepare the traditional beans for you at breakfast!!! One of the culinary highlights of the trip.

👥 the staff went out of their way to check on us, making sure everything was ok without being invasive. Watch out for Yannal and Rami, they are extremely kind and fun!

✨ The activities were also a lot of fun. We went to watch the sunset on camels and then did a four hour tour in a pickup during the next afternoon. Definitely worth it, the sights are unbelievable.

🛏 My sibling and I stayed in one of the tents, which was great. It has air-conditioning and heating. The bathroom is quite big and has hot water. My parents stayed in a Martian dome, which had a nicer bathroom, but all in all both are great options.

We were there for a jeep tour at Wadi Rum, which was excellent. Some of our party stayed overnight, we did not. Pictures also show; Seven Pillars of Wisdom, train used in Lawrence of Arabia, and Bedouin camp where we had tea. The pods are some of the accommodation.

I stayed at Sun city camp for two nights. The staff were fantastic, the rooms were clean and tidy with an excellent view. The breakfast and dinner were great. They also cooked us traditional Jordanian food. The manager (Abofares) was very helpful and did everything to make us feel welcome in Wadi rum. We did the stargazing and the jeep ride which were both really enjoyable.

Simply beautiful. If you can’t stay in a bubble don’t worry, the other accommodation is still great and places you were you want to be.

Get ready for incredible sunrises and sunsets. The photos here are of the restaurant where you have all your meals.

This place is a once in a lifetime experience and worth visiting at least once for the lush views, great rooms, and great service. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very accommodating. Abofares was always available to help and provide any service we needed. I'll definitely make sure to come again!

I've been to a couple of camps here in Wadi Rum, but very few if any come close to the quality of Sun City Camp, the location and scenery is beautiful, and the people who work there are very straightforward honest, hospitable and welcoming, wonderful to interact with. The food is nothing short of outstanding, I am genuinely amazed at how good the food is here. Kudos to Chef Hassan and every other chef in the camp.
Abu Faris is also a very nice and pleasant individual who could help you around the camp,very polite and professional. I am very happy with the people in charge of this camp. I highly recommend anyone come here! It might be a bit pricey, but it is definitely worth your money! 10/10

Place was amazing, very accommodating, very conveniently located, tours offered were timely, well guided and at a very modest price, and lastly both dinner and breakfast buffet was delicious. Overall a very lovely and enjoyable experience

Just visited Sun City Camp in Wadi Rum, stayed in a lovely bubble tent. Was really warm and cosy and spacious. Food (Zara)was delicious. We went on a 4W drive to explore the desert with a really nice and well informed guide. Thank you Abo Fares and your team. Jordan is so lovely and safe, most people speak English fluently.

Amazing bubble tent camp! We loved this place and would definitely come back here. Bubble tent is just amazing, view from my room was amazing. Staff place mat and pillows outside the rooms at night so you can enjoy the evening and the stars. Service great, the food was perfect and delicious.

My husband and I stayed for one delightful day and night in Sun City Camp and enjoyed it immensely. We stayed in Martian Dome 1, the view was incredible, the room super comfortable and pleasantly decorated. The bed is excellent, the shower has nice warm water with excellent strength. The staff laid out very comfortable body-length cushions outside, with back support, so from we we watched the amazing night sky full of stars. The staff is super welcoming and helpful, in particular Abo Fares, the manager, who is doing everything to make his guests comfortable, well-fed and entertained, and Nour who lent us a router to get WiFi in our room when we were informed our Monday flight was canceled and we had to search for other flights. The food is a banquet - for breakfast, lunch and dinner - really delicious and very varied, you can eat local food, European-style food, vegetables, chicken, lamb etc and super yummy desserts. For dinner, the staff slow-cook chicken and lamb traditionally, buried in the sand. You can eat inside the main dome, or outside on a lovely terrasse protected from the wind. After dinner, there is bedouin music and dance around the main terrasse, which is very good natured and fun. We did a sunset excursion in a jeep on the day of our arrival, oh the landscape and the colours! I've go no words to describe them. Our guide was a great driver and very nice as well. He brought us to a tent where we got tea, you can also buy local goods if you want but no pressure. On the departure day we did a dromedary ride (everyone calls them camels but they are dromedaries), excellent as well. We kept to a walk (probably prudent) and got to a perfect place to see the sunrise, bliss - again. I wholeheartedly recommend both experiences - and don't worry about the dromedary, they help you up and down if you need it, we had a very senior citizen who was rather stiff with us and she handled it beautifully. I will always remember our stay, it was a perfect place to become acquainted with the beauties of the Wadi Rum.

The most beautiful place! The Martian domes are so cool and have huge porches that the staff adorn with rugs and pillows in the evening.

The restaurant staff are so helpful and nice! Beautiful place to have a wonderful meal. I hope to be back soon!

A fantastic place to stay on the edge of Wadi Rum. We stayed for 2 nights and were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the Martian dome rooms.
The breakfasts and dinner were great. Dinner is a large buffet for local foods that tasted great.
The staff helped book two trips into the desert - a 2 hour sunset ride and a 6 hour sunrise tour of wadi rum.

The staff is super super friendly and good.. always there to help and offering us Bedwain Tea and othere extras.. they made a great show before the dinner and the food itself was AMAZING… also provided us with a great safari guide.. rooms are standard 3+ but very clean.. view from our bubble is impeccable.. strongly recommended

Restaurant is buffet only, however plenty of options are available at the buffet. The food is fresh and tasty. Abofares, the manager restaurant, took care of us and gave us complimentary drinks as well. He was always around to make sure everything was OK with all the guest during the breakfast, lunch and dinner.
