Wadi Rum Horse Adventures

We had a very nice 3hrs riding experience with Ali! The horses are very well trained and in good condition. Also we didn’t have any problems although our last ride was about 2 years ago and we’re not regular riders. Thank you very much!

We just had an amazing day in a Wadi Rum desert! We booked 3 Hours Horse ride in advance.. Communicating through the email was quick and easy! We’ve got the all the instructions before which was nice. After we arrived we received lot of helpful advice on horse riding and interesting information about the Wadi Rum. Most importantly we saw that they really care about their horses and that they are happy and well kept Thank you so much for this experience…We had lots of fun I can only recommend!!!

I had great time in Wadi Rum, thanks to Ali and Astrid I had one day horseriding and two nights in the desert. They arranged everything for me and my parents, even if we choose to do different activities (horseriding and jeep tour) Astrid organized our lunch all together. Ali is a very good guide and with Astrid they take good care of horses, that are wealthy, patient and have a big heart! Can't imagine a better tour, definitely recommended!

Fantastic experience, Ali is a very experienced, passionate, and friendly owner. Horses are in amazing condition, the whole stable is well maintained. We took the 3 hours trip, and for 1 advanced & 3 beginners, it was the perfect choice. Beginners were feeling comfortable and relaxed all the time while the advanced person had a chance to ride a little bit faster :) The cost for 4 people was 240jd

What a beautiful experience! We rode for a whole day in the desert with Ali, our guide, who knew Wadi Rum like the back of his hand! Incredible horses, full of life but also very responsive and safe. I can’t wait to go back next year again!

I did a 3 day horse riding experience with Wadi Rum horse adventure and it was amazing!
Ali, the Bedouin guide is very interesting and makes sure you have a fun yet safe time. My horse Kefne was just an angel, she happily walked, trotted, cantered and gallop and was easy to control. The horses are incredibly well looked after and mannered. I spent a night under the stars which was a magical experience and the best sleep I’ve had in a long time! :)
The food that I had while out in the desert was exceptional, especially considering it was all cooked behind the jeep with a make shift fire. I had one of the best fishes I’ve ever had and I am a foodie :)
Organizing everything through Astrid was a breeze. She is fluent in French and English and answers very promptly to enquires. She is very helpful and accommodating and keeps in touch when you land at the airport and can help you arrange external things such as taxi transport etc…
I really highly recommend Wadi Horse adventures, it will be an adventure I will personally never forget!!

So impressed and happy with the 2-day ride. Horses are incredibly well-trained and well taken care of (relative to my experience with other stables in Asia, New Zealand and South America). The variety & spread of food at every meal was amazing - it hit the right spot and was always freshly prepared by the chef who traveled with us. At night we slept under the stars (tents are provided / optional) and we had the full Bedouin experience with campfire, stories, and sheesha. Our guide Ali was amazing, he prioritised our safety and comfort throughout the ride and took great photos for us 😍

We had a 3 hour ride and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The horses are very well cared for and wonderful to ride. Ali was great. We got to trot and canter, but the horses' welfare came first which was reassuring and perfect. The sound of hooves on sand is one of my new favourites. Astrid sorted out the booking which was easy and straightforward. I'd recommend booking directly with Wadi Rum Horse Adventures because then they get all the fee rather than your accommodation taking a cut. Feeding the horses can't be cheap.

We went on a 4 hour ride with Ali, I have to say it was my most remarkable time in Jordan, the scenery was breathtaking, and the horses were in a really good shape. My friend had never ridden a horse before, and he could get a horse that followed Ali all the way, so we could feel completely safe during the whole trip, while there was plenty of opportunities to try trotting. We visited the famous Khazali Canyon and the Sand dunes, both were definitely worth the time. It was great riding with you, and special thanks to Astrid too, who helped a lot with the organising and answered all my questions very quickly. Hopefully we can do the overnight version some time in the future! :)

Best experience in Wadi Rum. The horses are super super nice, super strong, powerful and beautiful. Ali is very professional and kjnd. He will be your perfect guide for Wadi Rum and give you the best experience in Wadi Rum. Riding horse is much more interesting then riding a camel or jeep. Give it a try and you will never regret.

One of the highlights of our trip! Ali was a very passionate guide. He took very good care of us and of the horses. He showed us some beautiful places in Wadi Rum. I hadn't been on a horse for a long time, but Ali made sure I could get used to it again at my own pace. You can tell he is very passionate about his job and the desert. The horses are very sweet and it excellent shape. Highly recommend the day ride!

The best horse riding of my life

I’ve discovered wadi rum horse adventure on instagram and I instantly contacted them to book a ride.

They helped me for everything, I already had an accomodation for the night but they have one if you need.

When I came to their place I confirmed to myself they’re experts but even more the horse are well treated.

The ride it’s been amazing, I’ve always dreamed to have one in the desert and with this view it’s been astonishing.
I had a 3 hour ride around the mountains and dunes and I’ll return for a 2 days ride for sure in the future.

We had the most amazing experience, 3 days completely off the grid with the sweetest horses, amazing food freshly prepared by chef Aied, luxury of a billion star hotel (being the desert). We were expertly being looked after. Pick up from the airport and driver to our next location were easily arranged at great rates, highly recommended company which does all they can to make your trip unforgettable.
We will definitely be back!

I rarely leave reviews but wanted to let you know what a fabulous experience we had on our one day horse trek with Ali and an over night stay at their camp. We are experienced riders (2 adults and young teenagers) and we loved it. Ali was excellent at ensuring our safety yet allowing us opportunities to cantor and gallop. The food was wonderful and catered for our vegetarians too. I would really recommend the overnight stay at the camp. excellent toilet/shower facilities and huts. a fire, music and chat. Would def go again and hope to. Many thanks to Ali and the team. Olivia

The greatest desert adventure with horses you can ever dream of. The guide and his team were really kind and professional. We had absolutely everything we needed plus a fresh and very delicious local food. The horses were very well trained and Wadi Rum is just an amazing place. Don't hesitate to visit. Berg and his brother will make your stay very authentic.🥰

Our family of four; including our teen girls (15 & 13) had the pleasure of riding with Ali at the end of March. We did the full day ride.

The most important part of any animal tourism review is the welfare of the animals and this is where Ali really shines. His horses are in simply amazing condition - from well trimmed feet, beautiful coats to excellent body condition.

When we arrived for our ride the horses were all tacked up and ready to go. The horses all went in snaffles and endurance saddles which were comfortable for a long ride. Normally the horses you get on vacation are a little rough around edges - not here. All four horses had nice trots and smooth canters and we had plenty of opportunity for nice long canters across the desert.

Ali was an awesome guide and was a ton of fun to spend the day with. We rode out to his family's camp for lunch where a full lunch was served and there were beautiful bathrooms available. While we ate, the horses also ate and the quality of the hay would make our Canadian horses jealous.

All in all this was amazing. The feeling of cantering over the sand is not to be missed and I don't think you could duplicate it anywhere else in the world.

If you're a beginner I wouldn't hesitate to sign up either - these horses knew their jobs and were happy to walk quietly.

I highly recommend this place! My friend and I booked a 3-hour horseback riding tour and it was fantastic. Even though my friend had never ridden a horse before, these horses were so gentle and easy to handle that it wasn't a problem at all.

We've done a few other tours in Wadi Rum such as Jeep tours, but this horseback riding experience was by far the best. The service was fantastic, and looking back, we would have preferred to stay at this camp instead of the one we were at.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great horseback riding tour.

We've had a fantastic day in desert with Ali and his horses. He and Astrid take great care of the horses that are less suited to the desert than camels. However it felt much more unique than the jeep and camel rides. Ali gave us a wonderful tour of Wadi Rum with a well deserved break for us and the horses. We highly recommend ! Thumbs up to red and green the two dogs that were part of the adventure.

(PS: you can stay at the Wadi Rum Travel Camp to enjoy the sunset, a delicious meal, and spend some time in the tent drinking tea / having shisha)

My experience riding in Wadi Rum was unique, I was lucky to catch a capricious windy weather, and I enjoyed it at the maximum, thanks to my guide Ali. We laughed and talked about life and we answered all my questions and curiosities (which were a lot). My horse was well looked for and easy to ride.
