Wadi Rum Desert Home

My friends and I spent an amazing two days at Wadi Rum Desert Home in December 2023. Abdalsalam was an excellent host and a fount of local knowledge. Would highly recommend the jeep tour (4 hours was the perfect length) and the camel trek -- super cool! We were made to feel very welcome:)

One of the best experiences while travelling around Jordan! Me and my friend initially planned to spend 2 nights in the camp, but then we extended for one more, because we enjoyed so much. The camp was neat and had everything we wanted. The staff people were super friendly and they have an excellent cook there, food was great! Abdu, the owner, was one of the friendliest people we met on our journey. He was very helpful and knowledgeable person. We also enjoyed the jeep tour, we ended the tour with a sunset watching while we drank some proper sugary black tea, made the traditional Beduin way! Definitely would recommend!!

A once in a lifetime experience you can’t miss when you’re visiting Jordan! Amazing accommodation, amazing food, and amazing people. The host, Abdu Salam, was super kind, funny, and hospitable. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and history. The tour was incredible and we saw the most beautiful sights thanks to Abdu Salam. I recommended them to all my friends and family already. Add this to your bucket list if you haven’t already. I highly recommend staying here!

Really spent my time in Wadi Rum the way I dreamed of. Great place with nice sunset viee, good food, nice staff, fair tour offering and quiet place far away from other camps. Abdusalam and Waled are very guys who will treat you very well, always happy to share about their Bedouin culture. I guarrantee you will enjoy your staying 🙏

We had an great time in the camp. The full day jeep tour is definitely worth it! Abdu was a great guide and driver. The lunch we had in Wadi Rum Village was one of the best we had. The full staff is super friendly and helpful, very flexible in accommodating to you wishes.

Amazing camp in a magic place. You can feel the freedom and imagine a little how life was there in the past.
It is highly recommended to pick a 4x4 tour. I took a 4 hour tour until sunset and Fajad, my driver and guide, took me to every important place and explained to me a lot about Bedouin and Nabatean life there.

The main spots are quite far ones to the other to go walking by the sand, much better by 4x4 to see everything.

The camp was so nice. My tent had 2 single beds with blanket.
The camp has toilets. Almost no phone signal, I think only with Zain. For Orange signal you need to go walking to the dune in front of the camp (like 30 minutes).

The camp also has a couple of swings looking to the valley.

Dinner and breakfast were buffet, amazing and tasty.
It is possible to arrange the return hour.

Recommend: trekking shoes and front light or torch for night walks, but in full moon time they are not needed.

All the valley is surrounded by camps and it is easy find yours by night taking care of the light shape.

Water is sold in the main spots, 1JD evey bottle, and also courtesy tea for the visitors.

Important to know that you must pay in cash. The village doesn't have an ATM. The nearest one is in the checkpoint that is crossed before, maybe a couple of km.

When you arrive at the village you can park for free and someone goes to meet you and contacts the tour company. Abdalsalam, Fajad and their families are born there and know everything from the place, which is wider than it seems. They were very kind I deserve the best words and wishes for their good job made with the heart.

We had a great time at Wadi Rum - such a beautiful landscape! Our guide Abdul was so nice and friendly and we felt really welcome. We felt absolutely safe during the whole trip. The camp and the tents were nice and comfy and the typical meal made by bedouins was very delicious.

I would definetely come back and book another tour and night, or better two, with Wadi Rum Desert Home! Thanks a lot, Abdul!

Wadi Rum has a taste of paradise...
We stayed 2 nights in the desert.
The first night we stayed in the camp. We had a tent for the 3 of us and it was very confortable. We met some very nice other travelers and had a nice chatting with Abdu, the owner of the camp.
The next day we booked a full day jeep tour. Our guide was Odeh, and he was so nice and careful (one of us was sick and he took very good care of her). We saw amazing things, had a nice lunch and very cool time. The sunset was just so beautiful.
For the 2nd night we took the option 'under the stars', and it was unforgettable. Abdu cooked for us, it was so good. We spent the night watching shooting stars while chatting and laughing.
I can only recommend people to go there with Abdu and his great team.

Simply amazing ! We had a great time in Wadi Rum with Abdu and his team, we literally felt at home. We spent 2 nights, the first one was on the camp, the tent was comfortable and the dinner delicious. The second day, we had a full day of Jeep Tour with our guide Odeh, who was the nicest person on earth! Always smily and attentive we had an amazing day! We watch a beautiful sunset before heading to a cave to sleep under the stars. It was speechless !!!!! A crazy experience with amazing people. We spent the night watching the stars and chatting.
Definitely my best experience in Jordan.

We spent one day with Ayad and Abdu and we couldn't be more happy :) we had a jeep tour, we watched the sunset having sweet biscuits and a good tea prepared on the fire. We enjoyed our stay and we appreciated especially to have little talks around the fire. It was an authentic experience, super recommended. The guys are very nice and we felt very welcomed from the very first time!

Here I think we got the best guide in wadi rum. We had a wonderful experience at the camp. Full day jeep tour, lunch and sunset. Then an authentic bedouin dinner in the desert camp. I totally recommend. Wonderful people, lots of fun and comfortable accommodation 💗

Amazing experience in the desert!! Fun 4wheel drive tour, sunset views and sand boarding. Our hosts at Wadi Rum Desert Home cooked delicious dinners and drove us to activities. Bring an extra battery for your phone.

Our trip to Wadi Rum was definitely a highlight of Jordan where we spent 2 weeks. Unfortunately, we could stay only 4 nights In the desert but it worth the whole week if you wanna really dive into Bedouin life and culture.

Camp, traditional food zarb (you can Google it to be amazed), Location were the best.

We did over night camping in the cave that was a unique experience by itself and then 3 days jeep safari tours. Wadi Rum is a huge desert full of great spots from sand dunes to canyons, hiking trails and view points. You never get tired of it if you love to be connected with a nature and live a simple lifestyle.

Our guide Abdu made us feel like home and he was the best company you can wish for. He knows all corners of the desert. If you wanna feel true experience, go for Wadi Rum Desert Home. Gonna absolutely miss this place!

My experience at Wadi Rum Desert Home has been very positive. I had the chance to do three different hikes (Rakhabat, Burdah and Jbel Umm al-Dami) thanks to the essential guidance and help of the local guides.
The accomodation under the stars and in the morning shade is amazing and the food is delicious.
So when you go, remember to enjoy the landscapes and the silence, go for a hike if you are passionate about walking outdoors and socialise with the other guests in front of a sacred cup of "Bedouin whiskey" (i.d. warm and sugary tea).

We had an outstanding experience in the desert, having the chance to taste the Bedouin way of life, their beautiful home and nature. Everyone was extremely welcoming, kind and friendly with us. Ayad was and amazingly knowledgeable and fun guide. Abdu organized everything for us, tour, dinner, night in the camp, even the transportation to Petra. We totally recommend Wadi Rum Desert Home.

If I could leave 10 stars out of 5 I would!! I had the most incredible stay of 2 days in the cave and it was absolutely stunning. Abdalsalam it’s an amazing host and took care of everything, food was great, the best spots in the desert, all was perfect. And sleeping under the stars has been unforgettable (also comfortable and warm)! Choose them without exitations!!!! Honestly one of the best experience in my life.

Our stay here was really great. If you are looking for a camp, where you get an authentic inside in the bedouin culture you should definitely book here. You are welcomed with a lot of hospitality and have the possibility to join wonderful jeep tours and enjoy the traditional food in the evening.

We had a whole day jeep tour, camel ride, ballon tour, and a hiking trip to Burdah bridge. Abdalsalam, Hamsa, Awdi were really kind and helpful. We had a tour by ourselves and could always take our time. In the desert time did not matter. It was by far the best price to value in comparison to other providers in wadi rum. Lunch was held at a nice place somewhere in the desert for ourselves and dinner was cooked at camp in the evening in a Bedouin style oven in the sand. We even once had lunch at their family home. We felt very welcome and will definitely come back some time in the future.
