Khazali Canyon

My highlight of Wadi Rum; a narrow fissure with many ancient inscriptions and rock art.

It’s one of the most popular desert tourist destinations, so you need to be one step ahead of coaches as the tricky high path is only just wide enough for two people to pass.

I would definitely recommend sturdy footwear as the rocky path is uneven, sloping and dusty!

Beautiful canyon with old carvings on the walls, with some trees around too, in the stunning Wadi Rum desert. Canyon can get crowded especially on the narrow passageways which makes it even trickier to advance.

The first couple of meters that I managed to explore looked amazing. Unfortunately, at the time of my visit there was water everywhere around, thus you'd need special equipment to explore it further.
No charges at the entrance which is also great.

Amazing scenery, slippery pathway though, and people flow must be organized, otherwise accidents will happen.

One of the best attractions of Wadi Rum, the Rick's, the inscriptions, even the tree right outside the canyon are natural works of art.

As with the rest of Wadi Rum, the area needs to educate locals to respect the environment, the place is full of garbage hidden away or blown by the winds

Uno stretto canyon con incisioni sulla roccia storiche.

Zdecydowanie warto zobaczyć , trzeba umieć przejść przez wąskie skalne przesmyki ale na pewno warto. Dodatkowa atrakcja poza super widokami są malunki mające nawet ponad 2000 lat. Można tam dojechać w trakcie objazdu po pustyni ale ze nasz camp był tuż obok podeszliśmy sobie na piechotę . Absolutnie polecam odwiedzenie tej atrakcji 👍👍👍👍

Bohužel mě můj průvodce nepovolil prolézat kaňonem dál. Šel jsem tedy jen kousek. Taky to bylo místy trochu pod vodou a dle popisu to v závěru vypadá na náročné lezení. Ale kousek by se určitě dal. Na druhou stranu, zalezl jsem si jinde, kaňonů má Jordánsko spousta a všechny krásné. Na začátku jsou staré popisy. U vstupu zajímavý starý strom. Určitě hezké místo k zastávce.

The canyon gets really crowded but is a nice stop to see different languages captured on the rock. The way up and down is easy and just takes time due to constant yielding of priority to people coming up or down. We could easily go through the Canyon with 11, 13 and 15 years old. The path is very safe. The Bedouin camp at the entrance of the canyon was the place we had lunch (cooked by our guide) and the start of our camel ride.

Nice but there's water puddles to go over and then it gets even more difficult to go further up so I just saw the inscriptions and turned around
