Truely amazing place, a carribean dream!
Located at the blue lagoon, where fresh and salt water meet and the blue is really blue.
Kanopi house offers SUP and canoes. We peddled over to monkey island for some snorkeling. And turtles meet for a snack in the bay which you can spot from the beach house.
The rooms offer everything you need including a small kitchenette for your morning coffee and a great view into the beautiful garden and the lagoon.
The food is delicious and everyone has been super friendly and helpful. We can only leave our best recommendations and hope to be back on day in paradise.

A favorite place to stay in Port Antonio, set in the lush tropical forest above the Blue Lagoon. Sleep in elegant treehouses, the ones with outdoor showers offering total immersion in the sights and sounds of the Jamaican landscape. The common "Living Room" is an idyllic spot for meals and drinks. Well maintained steps lead all the way down to the Lagoon itself where you can swim, kayak or hire a boat to explore the bay. A remarkable and unique place.

I arrived at the Kanopi House at 9pm on a Sunday night and the staff was not prepared for my arrival.

I was a little unhappy about the lack of service but they made up for it in the morning as Terri-Ann, staff personnel and the other staff really made up for it.

Although I cut my stay short, Terri-Ann and Shawn, from the Kingston office, made sure I was made whole financially and I really appreciate how forthright and truthful they were as you’re never really sure they will live up to there word-they did!

Thank you Terri-Ann especially.

Kanopi is amazing. I took my entire staff there earlier this year. We had one of the best times of our lives. We rented out almost every villa and spent the most wonderful evenings in the big house overlooking blue lagoon. Dinner and breakfast were some of the best I've ever had (been coming to Jamaica for 10 years). The staff is friendly (they went as far as hiring a few people to play music for us one night) the rooms are incredibly well done, each unique and private.

I can't tell you how much we loved our experience here. We are incredibly grateful and indebted to our wonderful hosts. There are many wonderful adventures awaiting visitors to this part of the island (banana boat rafting, walking up rivers, etc.). We will most certainly be back again.

I'll just go on for those who are serious about booking: it's wonderful at night cruising the lit walkways between houses or to visit the blue lagoon down below (swimming is great, the ocean water mixes with the river to produce pockets of warmth that are delightful). Every house has a wonderful view and the richness of nature is teeming throughout.

I can't think of a better place to stay with friends, loved ones, or significant others. Kanopi offers an intimate setting that can be private or group oriented, and it's deeply connected to nature. We can't wait to book again and are very grateful for the experience. Ive stayed at many very nice hotels, all-inclusives, and private resorts on the island. This is hands down the best place I have had the pleasure of visiting.

Where do I start...as I speak, I'm laying in probably one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. And while I'm not one for pillows...I sunk right in them like lotion on dry skin. Celebrated what was one of the best birthdays to date. If only I could share the video production done on behalf of my 35th Birthday. Food was spectacular, ambiance was out of this world and the company was top notch. They went over and beyond to make this birthday one for the books. A cake, balloons and serenade in the space of 24 hrs...truly blown away. Second time here and I'm certain not the last. Thank you Burchell and team!💚

We arranged to have dinner here for our last meal in Jamaica. Burchell, the general manager, is 10/10. He is so accommodating and lovely. Timing, dietary needs, any changes were met with grace and a smile.
The food was fantastic, the space was clean and tasteful. Also to note, Kanopi is an eco conscious resort. They do a great job.
We sat on the deck that overlooked the blue lagoon (which I also highly recommend) with a direct staircase to it. A DREAM this place is.

Thank you Burchell and staff. We will be back :)

Located directly on the world famous Blue Lagoon this idyllic treehouse retreat is a nature lovers paradise!!! a number of beautiful appointed wooden villas (the smell of Cedar & pine woods of the building is devine) all with views through the "Kanopi" ;) of the blue lagoon and warm Caribbean sea. There are no Televisions on property but Why would you need it when you can lay in bed and bird watch or watch weather changing after the obligatory afternoon showers of Portland, its the perfect place for reconnecting with your loved one or yourself without the usual distractions of large cookie cutters. they do have solid internet connections if you want to reconnect with the matrix or to keep on top of your business.
If you want the best of Island charm and a unique luxurious escape this is your place.

A unique experience for anyone looking to get off the beaten path. The rooms are clean, have air conditioning, and don’t have any bugs like you might expect. There’s a lot of stairs to and from the main building, your room, and the lagoon so be prepared.

We just came back from the Kanopi House and literally had to tear my family away. We had a great time with our 2 children ages 11 and 7. Stayed in the Spanish Elm with the brand new outdoor shower which gave it an extra outdoorsy feel. Cecile, AJ and Boxer were more than accommodating. The property is lush and luxuriously rustic all at the same time. Never saw any rats (as mentioned above) only lizards, little hermit crabs and beautiful hummingbirds. And best of all. The blue Lagoon (a short walk) and Frenchman cove (5 mins away in car) are literally paradise on earth. And the place is completely unspoiled. Loved it. Will be back.

This is one of the best , and nicer, hotels in the area! The personnel, and it's Manager (Mr. Timothy Blake) are amazing...

The rooms are of exquisite taste, the views are breathtaking and the direct to the blue lagoon is a privilege!!!

Ask for Boxer when you arrive (the concierge) and ask him to give you a tour on his boat or kayak with you to the jumping tree!!!

I could stay here for a month!!!

There is no other place like Kanopi house in Jamaica. Luxury living while surrounded by mother nature. You wake up to a view of trees all around you, as the houses are built at the canopy level of the trees (hence the name). You also have private access to the magical blue lagoon from their deck. The food is amazing, the air is fresh, the service feels personal and unique and the ambiance is unparalleled. I have said enough.

We just returned from a week’s stay at Kanopi House, and absolutely loved this magnificent setting in the the peaceful, lush parish of Portland. This place has so much to offer for travelers looking to enjoy the natural beauty of Jamaica. Located right on the Blue Lagoon, guests have free access to swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding on the Blue Lagoon and some of the prettiest waters in the Caribbean Sea. We honestly didn’t feel the need to leave Kanopi House, as just enjoying the sea was enough for us (although there are plenty of other amazing things to explore in the area). We loved paddle boarding around the bay, spotting sea turtles, stingrays, starfish, and colorful fish in the shallow, blue waters. We also loved kayak rides out to Monkey Island (which has a swing over the water!) and around into the next bay over, where we swam at San San Beach. Kayaking out of the bay to your right will bring you to breath-taking sea kayaking along rocky cliffs. For strong swimmers, there is a rope swing at the far end of the Blue Lagoon.

The food was outstanding, and Danielle (one of the chefs) personally worked with us to create vegetarian meals of our choice. We also had a small refrigerator, sink, dishware, and hot water pot in our kitchenette, which was helpful for having occasional light breakfasts or snacks in our room. Kanopi provides bottled water as a courtesy from Jamaica's famous springs, which we really appreciated! Burchell, the manager, was the ultimate host and exceptionally kind, gracious, and accommodating. He also went out of his way to help us find alternative transportation to Kanopi House, when our delayed flight caused us to miss the bus. Finally, nothing beats waking up to a wall of green, surrounded by the rainforest on all sides each morning. Kanopi is a rare gem!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The staff was professional, sweet, and informative. Timothy, Sessile, Mello, Marleen, Boxer, Rasheek, and AJ. Every person onsite felt like a friend by the time we left. The food was delicious, the rooms were clean, and the atmosphere was pure relaxation. They create a sanctuary for their guests. We can not wait to go back and recommend it to any couple or family looking for a low key getaway.

This is how to enjoy nature! Wooden "treehouses" built below the tree canopy, perched above the famous Blue Lagoon/Blue Hole. Cool freshwater from multiple springs mix with the warm sea water to produce an unforgettable swimming experience. Great view from the main lounge and restaurant over the picturesque "Blue Hole houses" and Pellew Island aka Monkey Island. Wake to the sound of birds and waves breaking in the reef.

Still my favourite spot in Portland. Waking up in the cool hillside among the trees and walking down to dip into the beautiful blue lagoon is amazing. Boxer the Boatman will take you anywhere you need to go.. by SEA! The best way! :) Can't wait to go back!

Kanopi! I remember my first time seeing this amazing place, speechless! Its so tranquil, in the middle of rainforest type scenery, so you hear the birds, the frogs, and everything else that sings through the days and nights. Including Boxa, the character that will help you with your bags and anything else you could possibly need. The cabins are very well built, and are pretty private. I loved this place, and am planning to go back as soon as I can.

Stayed in Red Ginger for 2 glorious nights. Stayed because of Marbana. This place is amazing, and is definitely a spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Only draw back, I wld close the windows, an doors around 5:30pm, and turn on the air conditioner so the bugs and mosquitoes can stay out. Def a “stay in shape” type stay. Stairs for days. Food options are limited. I wld recommend early 5am risers bring snacks to tie you over until breakfast at 8am.

Without hesitation Kanopi House is a forever kind of experience, Well at least that's hiuse i felt being there. I would recommend this experience to any man, woman or animal. It is a full on nature run with the ambiance of a natural look, quiet villas, surroundings for you to be one with your inner zen. No television, no radio Just an auspicious moment, possibly the best retail therapy one can betray the everyday bustle with. If ever cerebrally one needs a moment to unwind, reset or to be unjust or kust that filling hiatus let Kanopi House be the regret you never had.
