My favourite restaurant in Pisa. The food was by far the best we ate. Everything was perfect. This place is nothing fancy, just excellent, freshly cooked homemade food. It was an absolute treat and I'll go back to Pisa just to return here.

This place is just the best if you are looking for amazing food and affordable prices. The portions are great and the flavor of what we got was just marvellous. Staff super helpful and kind! Absolutely recommend it!

An excellent restaurant serving typical food for the area. Food is excellent. There is often a queue outside but it's worth the wait. Service is slow but that's good as it gives you time to relax and enjoy the food. Food is well priced for the area as are the wines and beers. A must visit if you are in Pisa and can get a seat.

Probably the best experience of Italian cuisine I've ever had. The dishes were delicious, great flavors and taste. Waited outside about 10 min to get a table, because it's a small place, but was worth it. Recommend 100%. (also you have to try ravioli, you won't regrete it) :)

One of the best pasta I’ve ever tried. The price is good, the food delicious, the quantity of pasta per plate is more than enough, the waiters were nice and they are fast making the dishes.

Well, where should I start…? The entire experience of this place was just great. Friendly and informal atmosphere followed by delicious food in very generous portions. We had Tagliere “La Ghiotteria” for antipasti - a wide selection of cold meats, accompanied by some cheese, warm pastes and toasted bread. This was just a prelude to a feast flavours in form of Ravioli all’Aragosta(Lobster stuffed ravioli) and the absolute winner of the evening: Tagliatelle dello Chef (bolognese with mushrooms) - the best bolognese we’ve ever head. It was creamy and slightly tangy at the same time, with good quality lean beef and perfectly cooked pasta. Everything infused with the mouthwatering porcini mushrooms. Simply - a dish to-die-for. Too bad it’s our last day in Pisa. Would love to come back for more!

Visited this place on our first night in Pisa, Italy. When we first asked for a table, we were told they were fully booked out and that we would need to come back in 1 hour's time. This was at around 8pm and seemed a bit long to wait, especially since there were two tables free. We waited around and after 15 minutes, I went up to a different waitress and asked for a table. We were shown to the empty table and we were some happy bunnies! Food was very very good, but the portions are very large - so I would say, if you aren't used to it, do share! We ordered 4 different pastas for the four of us, and it was a little too much food. They were very generous with their seafood and truffle, and needless to say, their fresh pasta tasted really good! We also ordered a Spritz and a house wine to try. The house wine is not all that good, I would go for something else next time. All said, I would recommend this place - and if I have the opportunity to return, I'd order less on the mains and maybe try some of their desserts as well!

Being close to the touristic area but this restaurant serves one of the most humble, delicious meals we had in our Italy trip. The risotto was cooked to perfection and the ravioli was rich and flavorful. Price is surprisingly low in comparison to the quality and portion size. The restaurant was very busy but the waitresses were prompt and friendly.

Great service, people are so nice. Lots of locals. Food amazing. Pasta was so delicious but be careful porcion are so BIG! The bigges we had in Italy but try starters. 5 day specials starter was sooo good. Prices are much cheaper that other places we visited.

We came a little before 3pm, without reservation, and the place was almost full, but we still got one of the few tables left.
The service was very friendly and attentive, even though they were very busy.
We had the chef tortellini, the carbonara and a bottle of house white wine.
The carbonara was delicious, and a huge portion (we could bring the leftovers with us).
To say the chef tortellini was delicious, is an understatement, as it was probably the best meal I have had in Italy so far. The mushrooms and creaminess was just perfect.
The house wine was light and fresh, and fitted nicely with the pasta.
Will definitely try to be back before we leave.

All we tried was tasty, but risotto with mules was a true hit (I was not a real fan of risotto until today). Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, as for this location. Note - the bread you receive at first is not that much a starter, unless you are terribly hungry. Better keep it to clean the plate from all the aromatic sauces at the end of your meal. You will not regret 😀

Amazing food at pretty cheap prices considering the quality of the food, portion sizes and the location! Big bowls of pasta with some much seafood. Really great service and atmosphere too.

Food was good value and high quality and very reasonably priced….. make sure you reserve a table as the restaurant is quite small and always full…..

Incredible. I spend much of my summers in Pisa for work and this place never disappoints. Despite being in a quite touristy area of Pisa, the food is high quality and a great value. I bring all my colleagues here, foreign and Italian, and no one has ever come away anything less than enthused!
Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent wino di casa!

We came right on opening time, 7pm, as we had no reservation and wanted to make sure we got to try the food.

The staff were still finishing up their own dinner but still sat us at a table with menus.

The "small gnocchi" is cheese sauce was delicious. As was the mushroom risotto.

And very reasonable prices.

Highly recommended.

The food was really good! It's one of the best pasta places. The service was a bit slow and it seemed like they lacked service staff.

big portions! probably 1 dish per person is good, unless you are very hungry. the fresh tomato and pecorino tagliatelle was incredible!! so simple and yet the best dish by far. the salmon in the calmarata was pretty strong, and the truffle cream ravioli was very rich and large (order it if you love truffle, but maybe too rich if it’s the only dish you eat)

I would eat here everyday! The food was fantastic, the portions are indeed very generous, and we didn't even realize when we finished the bottle of wine😅
We ordered an appetizer, a bottle of red wine, risotto with truffle and gorgonzola, and tagliatelle with truffle and local sausage.
It's a pretty small place that gets crowded quickly, but the locals leave pretty fast after eating, so even if it's full, you won't have to wait for too long.
