The Cala Gonone aquarium is a small pearl of this area. Courteous and professional staff. The exhibition itinerary consists of 25 tanks and two terrariums: tropical tanks, piranhas and jellyfish. Signs and leaflets in Italian and English.
It is also home to two animals that have been rescued: a Caretta Caretta turtle and a fox. Gift shop and snack bar. Better check the website before the visit for variations in prices and opening times.
Excellent management of anti Covid security measures.

Very nice aquarium - not very big, but a lot of animals, nicely presented, some animals I was seeing for the first time.
The fix was hiding, so we did not see it ( cannot blame it, at 35 degrees).
The animals in the petting/touching pool stay also hidden in the oart not accesible to visitors...too bad.
Still, overall, we had a wonderful experience.

I do not understand the bad reviews. Had a family ticket for 39 EUR and the whole family loved it! Well maintained, and nice variety of the exhibits! For a small aquarium I got everything I expected and as a bonus very friendly staff in the catering area! Worth every cent.

Let me start by saying that the aquarium doesn't have any fault or responsibility with this, the staff is very professional and the building is very well structured.

When we visited though, all of the kids running around like wild banshees wasn't really what we had in mind for a date night.

Worth to see! A good alternative in case of bad weather in sardaigna or in case of too high temperature (our case).
Not too small, not too big, You can spend there a pleasant hour watching nice specimens and learn lots of interesting things. Kids really enjoyed it, as well as we did!
The road SS125 to go ther from Santa Maria Navarresse was really beautiful with amazing landscapes.

Very good option to take the kids for an afternoon out away from the sun. Do avoid walking from town centre as we did because you will likely get lost and through confusing streets.

We've brought our two young children here the last couple of years. It is small but something nice and different to do for a morning/afternoon instead of the beach. Good selection of fish. Really like the environmental explanations re damage to oceans, as it's so important for our future. There are play areas outside of the building for the kids and also in the cafe area, the majority with a sea theme. And the views are not bad either!

In case of bad weather it is an ideal place to spend time here in Cala Gonone. When you read carefully the interesting information, it takes up to an hour to walk through the whole aquarium. There is a tank where you can play with friendly rays and touch them (carefully!). Also very good coffee and sandwiches to be enjoyed at the bar for equally good prices (2 coffees, 2 sandwiches for 8€). The price 12€ per adult seemed adequate to me.

A lovely little aquarium situated in one of the most beautiful places of Sardinia, despite it's compact size, there is a lot to see. A definite must go, I guarantee you will have a great time (also do not forget to visit the marvellous Cala Gonone and the pebble beach that is nearby).

Great experience. Lot of information about different fish species and corals, tanks full of life and well maintained. As biologists, We really appreciated environmentally oriented narative of the Aquarium, which is really important for future of our seas and oceans. English descriptions in the exhibitions are grammatically a bit sloppy, but that is not a big issue. Definitely recommended. And great coffee...
