Well-preserved remains of an ancient Greek theater with stunning valley views. Definitely worth a visit. You can walk from the parking lot like we did (it's a 1.25 km uphill walk that takes about 20 minutes). Alternatively, you can take the shuttle bus (we only discovered this halfway up the hill). Beautiful views of the valley, recommended for a late afternoon visit when there are fewer crowds and the setting sun casts a magical glow.

Magnificently located say the top of this hill in Segesta with amazing views in a Roman designed amphitheatre with perfect accessories. There is even today shows held at the location.
You can walk around the top of this hill and witness many postcard scenes.
You have a choice to walk up 20-30 mins or pay a little extra for a private bus within the compound to take you up and down.
Parking is beside the temple and parking was free.

Beautiful ruins that show a glimpse of the past, but also how much has faded in time. The renderings that depict how large the settlement was leave you wondering how time could have faded away so much of it, but glad to still see some remnants of the past like the magnificent temple, or the open air theatre with a fantastic view of the surrounding countryside.

Nice archeological site with great view to the surrounding area. It is still in use for local performances. But is was very windy and cold up there, jackets are recommended. Shuttle bus available.

Historical place and beautiful sight. Prices are fair. We did not go on a guided tour and we found that information about the site was lacking. Busses are provided for 2.5€ pr person to the top of temple and theater.

A beautifully preserved ancient theater. When a person imagines that centuries ago various comedies and dramas took place here, tears come to his eyes that what people can achieve when they come together and build something beautiful that will survive for centuries. I definitely recommend visiting this truly beautiful place and seeing it all, you will not be disappointed

This is a top place to visit. We went in April and it was pretty quiet apart from loads of bus loads of teenagers who we somehow avoided. We got the tickets with the bus ride. Would absolutely recommend the walk looked like a ball ache. Would have been even worse in summer. The theater itself is a joy to look at but cast against the scenery it is a feast for the eyes. Honestly I'd visit just for the view. Well worth the trip.

Amazing views and historical place. The shuttle bus will take you here from parking - you will need to pay 8.50 for entrance including the bus but I would recommend it just for the views :)

The entire Segesta park is worth a visit! The café is no longer there because of the most recent fire that affected the entire area. The theatre and the temple are so so beautiful!

Super well preserved and extremely cool steep hike up the hill from the parking lot. There is also an optional shuttle bus up if you fear the walk.

Beautifull , adult entrance was 11€, you need good boots to walk up the hill, worth the trip .

Incredible place... I think I even preferred it to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. Parking is weird, you arrive at the parking lot and then must take a bus (which leaves every 15 mins) to the entrance. This process can add 30-45 minutes to your time there but it is well worth it. Also really nice that they do a student discount.

being in Sicily, you should visit this place ... in addition to the best-preserved Doric temple in Europe, this wonderful amphitheater! ... a charming place .. a witness to the history of this place

A bit of a walk – uphill, be warned! – but the views at the end are breathtaking and you will marvel at the temple. You can pay for a bus to the top and if you don't like a gradient that is well worth the couple of Euros.

One of the highlights in the North West of Sicily. Great view from the impressive theatro. Plan in some time since you have to take a bus from a parking lot below the actual site and take another bus up to the theatro if you don’t want to walk 20 minutes in the heat. Busses go every 20 minutes.
