Parco Naturale Paneveggio Pale di San Martino

Breathtakingly beautiful area.

I went the last Summer during the pandemic (too many people anyway but well distributed!)

Great place to eat ina a family friendly environment. Be sure to leave your car as far as you can so you can enjoy a walk along the small river. You will see a waterfall and if you are brave enaugh dip your bare feet in the 7 degrees Celsius water. It's worth it. Tame animals on the road. Pigs, cows, chickens. Amazing views!

A wonderful place to walk but always be conscious of the dangers of the Pale. Good footwear is a must and a map essential although paths are well marked but sometimes easy to miss in mist or rain. Our dogs love the area but are well equipped with boots to protect paws from the sharp stone underfoot. Scenery spectacular.

One of the best places to ski in the Dolomiti. There is a lot of place to ski in the Dolomiti area but San Martino and Passo Rolle are the best. There is plenty of parking in San Martino but fewer in Passo Rolle. The view from the mounting is amazing, you can find a good restaurant in the ski resort where serve local food. I can definitely recommend going to Passo Rolle at least for one day, the ski resort is smaller than San Martino but the view is better and the snow is also better, it is just 15 minutes by car from San Martino but there aren’t a lot of parking place. I recommend skiing in the Paradiso track is the best in Passo Rolle. You can find a lot of good restaurants in San Martino with local dishes. To get in San Martino is better to pass from Vicenza, the road is in better condition and you have fewer chances to find snow. The city is small with a cozy city center, there are a lot of supermarkets and services. It is not easy to find parking in the city center but there is a good bus service from the parking of the ski resort. There are a lot of shops for rent ski equipment

Absolutely lovely place great views full of dolomites cima walking for everyone

Amazing national park. I recommend doing trail 709 starting at welsperg lake, then across to cima sedole, linking to 711 to complete the loop. The best hike I've ever done. Don't listen to the guides, it will take 8 hours if you're fit and healthy and enjoy a good hike. It has metal ropes and a few ladders, buy anyone under 45 should be able to do it. It will make your pulse race, but it could well be the best thing you ever do. The views are stupendous!!

A beautiful place with outstanding rock formations. We went in winter for skiing, and were pretty lucky with the weather conditions. :)
