Beautiful and different museum with beautiful big garden, only you have to go to the toilets in entrance otherwise you will not have any other chance and garden is really huge.

Best Museum in italy. The park is curated. The people working are dedicate to their work.

We are 5 but have an extra ticket because my friend got sick. So they help us to sell the ticket as a refund.

The big navy is awesome. There is also refreshment at the garden with a pond of Koi.

The only negative is the toilet. It is placed under the open air arena. I suggest may be one in the entrance or at the bar for the older people.

overall the experience is great highly recomended

Wonderful historical spot with amazing view of Garda Lake, little streets with boutiques, restaurants and Gelato kiosks.

The Gabriele D'Annunzio villa and museum is another good reason to visit this clean and tidy place. Wish the whole Italy would be presented to the tourists like this place.

Highly recommended

If you are interested in self branding you MUST visit this place. The poet who first build his own brand, who use “today’s” marketing tools to sell his own postcards, who collected around 8 millions euros in todays value from his poems! He build a pantheon for himself, new religion, became a War Hero, “bombed” Vienna with propaganda leaflets! Got a titles “il Vate” and “il Profeta” - the Poet and the Prophet. You can study Symbols, Secrets and Magic of self branding.

It is a bizzare, eclectic journey through the eyes of an Italian poet, collector, and maybe even a psychopath. D'Annunzio was a character, for sure. We are still contemplating this unique adventure even a week after the tour. Dogs are welcomed, but not in his house. Apollo could not finish watching the video because he got bored.

Fabulous house, grounds and gardens. Breathtaking landscape, amazing view of the Garda Lake. The Building itself is so majestic and unique. So rich of Italian history and one of a kind, great testimony of the life of Gabriele D'Annunzio, his heritage permeates this place in every corner. Added value are the mausoleum, museums, the Ship Puglia but also the lovely village and church. A full day trip, very highly recommended.

It’s a nice place to visit in lake Garda. We spent few hours here to see the natures and some art works. You can explore the nature and the culture in one go. Recommend a visit. Tickets need it!

This place is beautiful. We visited in July and arrived around 11am. It cost us €3 to park just below the park. The villa is stunning and has so many bits to walk around and see. It cost €12 per adult and has a small bar/restaurant at the top.

Very interesting place with Garda lake view. A real open museum. Worth going with a guide to full exploit all symbolism. A great garden close to the lake. Part of italian culture. A must go place although the architectural style can be fully appreciated or not

Stunning experience. Great place to see and extremely interesting stories to listen. The guides are well prepared, and visitors are divided in small groups. I would recommend to have even smaller groups organised as rooms and hallways are very narrow and access to the rooms is very limited.
I woud also recommend to get some prior information regarding Gabriele D’Annunzio in order to better understand his character and therefore his choices and eclectic style. Make sure to take the time to visit all corners of the huge garden and wear very comfortable shoes.

One of the most beautiful places on Lake Garda. Absolutely breathtaking surroundings, full of history and many kilometers of paths in pleasant nature. I was also very interested in the olive grove, which became my favorite place. Perfect for a day trip with family and young children. There are several options to entertain the entire family.

Stunning! I was here for a concert and it was one of the greatest experiences ever. A beautiful view of the lake and Gardone Riviera is such a nice little town to walk around in. Definitely recommend going here!

It is a citadel built by the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio.

The land have a house, gardens, theaters, etc. and one mausoleum.

I don't know if this construction is made at the expense of something, if the poet was good or bad. Because I think it’s very big.

I understand that many things are thrown into the water, but I still don't know much about the history of Italy.

In my opinion, the whole property is very eccentric.

But it is worth going to meet him and take a walk through this place and his house.

Is very very big, if you go in summer you need something to hydrate because the sun falls on you at all times. It happened to me and I had a heat stroke, and at home I began to feel bad.

So, you need go prepare if you go in summer.

Bizarre, crazy, sick place to be at. The house is a hoarders house, so many books and other objects he collected that it could feel 2 museums and 3 libraries 😂 It's very depressive inside, but the garden is fantastic. Although you can wonder what the hell is a battle ship doing in the middle of the mainland?? Worth a visit, you need 3 hours at least.

We had such a magical time visiting in the summer (August 2019). The grounds were immaculate. It was rather quiet in the afternoon. We were staying in Garda Lake and this was a great trip in the afternoon. We stopped by and had dinner afterward and really enjoyed it.

Excellent day out, make sure to take your hotel promotional discount leaflet for a reduced entry ticket if you're staying in Gardone.

Well worth paying the full amount to get the guided tour of the house, our English guide was very knowledgeable and a good laugh. Rather interesting to see the inner workings of an ecentric's mind!

The gardens are also extremely beautiful. Make sure to check out the boat mounted into the ground as well!

Park with magnificent views of lake Garda, especially from the amphitheater and from the ship (Yes there’s a warship that’s been artfully recreated in the middle of the park). But aside from that, it really is a nice Italian style park with some interesting modern artworks on display. Definitely also check the valleys of wild and winding water , they have some very idyllic views.

Amazing house of the author Gabriele d’Annunzio and amazing garden and buildings. Calculate about 5-6 hours to visit everything.
For the house you need to book a guided visit and we had an amazing guide (Pietro) who told us everything about the excentric man Annunzio was.
Unfortunately you couldn’t take any photos from the inside.
The buildings and surroundings are a bit particular and sometimes pretty bizarre and unbelievable for example there is a whole military ship on the grounds, but it is totally worth the visit.
