You can't miss it.
A giant white lighthouse on the horizon.
As I write this ( Feb 2024 ) you can climb up an average hill to the top.
A rope is there for assistance, and the climb isn't for everyone.
The views at the top are stunning.
There is a car park that's free.

There is, however a toilet block at the bottom, which wasn't open.
Also there's a building there that's not open and looks like it's currently being finished.
Judging by the tables inside I'd say eventually there will be a cafe and toilets there.
Further down the little road there is an ocean view point...

The lighthouse is great, but plan to continue your drive out towards the ocean. The cliffs are stunning and the waves crash into some very impressive rocks. It was very windy when we visited, but the view is unbeatable!

Very beautiful landscape all around!
Make sure to go towards the sea for a view over the cliffs!

A lighthouse that is located in the neighborhood of several other attractions. It is located on a small hill, thanks to which we can better see the area from this place. It should be treated as a curiosity, not the main point of the trip. The path leads from here to the cliffs futher away, nest to the sea.

We did not go inside or even walk up to the building foundation but it's picturesque placement in the landscape is enough for five stars for me. The lighthouse, the coast, the hot springs, and the nearby Bridge are reason enough to visit this area. Many great photo opportunities.

Interesting lighthouse situated on top of a small hill. There is no entry into the lighthouse itself. Several areas nearby where there are significant cracks in the lava. Just a note about parking - the sign in the photo is where the road splits to either Gunnuhver or the lighthouse. Not sure if this is policed as we parked at Gunnuhver (free) and walked (20 mins)

Very impressive tower, a place for lovers of seclusion and lonely hikes, There are more birds than people. I was looking for a few kilometers of fresh water in the area for two days. But I found something else - the purest color of red against the endless sunset of the midnight sun.

Amazing place, the best pictures will be obtained on a sunny day near midnight in summer. Please leave your car at Gunnhuver hot springs and walk 10 minutes to the lighthouse during end of May to July. The area is a breeding site for artic terns and golden plovers. I witnessed myself a young chick of a golden plover being run over by a car and it was a sad experience.

This is the place where Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga starring Rachel McAdams, Will Ferrell and Pierce Brosnan was filmed at Valahnúkamöl near Reykjanes Lighthouse in Keflavík, Iceland.

What a gorgeous location this was! There was a small parking lot at base of Lighthouse and you can walk the gravel path to shoreline which was beautiful with picturesque rock formations in water. Then there you see the twin keyboards with sign explaining the movie.

I had a great time at ReykjanesViti lighthouse, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the natural beauty and history of Iceland. It’s a perfect place to take some stunning photos, learn about the geology of the area, and enjoy the fresh air and the breathtaking views.
I visited ReykjanesViti lighthouse several times and it was always
a wonderful experience. The lighthouse is located on the tip of the Reykjanes Peninsula, which is known for its stunning natural beauty and geothermal activity. The lighthouse itself is a concrete structure with a white tower and a red lantern room, and has a height of 31 meters. It offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, including the geothermal area Gunnuhver, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Reykjanesviti church. The lighthouse is also near the Bridge Between the Continents, where you can walk from North America to Eurasia, and learn about the tectonic plates that divide Iceland.

Beautiful view even during heavy rain. Next to the lighthouse there are keyboards known from Fire Saga and a statue of a great auk. Worth to read the story about its extinsion.

Nestled right on the coast, this lighthouse is an easy hike from the coast, take a quick walk to the ocean where you can get to the rocky beach at the base of the cliffs. This spot has the potential for amazing northern light displays, cliffs behind you, lighthouse in the foreground with the northern lights overhead.

One of the most beautiful scenic views you will ever encounter. Like you’re standing in the edge of the world. Wish the lighthouse was functioning and still hiring.

Easy climb to the lighthouse. Parking is free. Views are spectacular. It gets very very windy at the top, so watch out for your caps.
The WC/ toilets were not operational when I went. If you're in the vicinity, go!!
