Salthús Guesthouse

Beautiful location. Clean room. Some people complained about breakfast but it is a quick to go breakfast and met expectations. The view is absolutely amazing and charming.

Very clean and well maintained guesthouse! The kitchen was well stocked and even had free cookies! The rooms were also large with a great view.

Enjoyed our stay- view of the ocean was beautiful, prepared breakfast was filling. Nice clean shared spaces as well.

Súper súper clean and spacious room with amazing sea views ! The common kitchen also super clean and modern , even has washing machines that allow you to do laundry ! Totally worth it ! We were so happy stayed here !!! Amazing place !

This guesthouse was a very nice base for us to explore this part of Iceland. Rooms are nice and clean, views are great. There is also the possibility to wash your clothes.

Modern Guesthouse with clean kitchens on each floor and comfortable beds

Everything was great. Beds were comfortable, common kitchen was clean and the bathroom had a good, modern appearance. There are some good views if you have a room facing the south.

Great spot and affordable. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The shower had a very strong sulfure smell, more than usual.

This far, it was the best place I stayed in during my time in Iceland. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. All amenities were included as well. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

For the price, the location is acceptable and the self-check in was ok. The rooms are super modern and clean, no frills. Shower is excellent and the bottom rooms even had outside door that made carrying our bags inside easier. Good place to stop enroute to Diamond Circle or when coming back.

Don't expect any service or anything here. They had a full kitchen though where you can cook your own stuff. Great panoramatic view from the backyard, sunset looks amazing from there.

Fully equipped kitchen. Helpfull staff. Full entrance instruction with some local attractions provided by email. Just behind building is small hill on sea shore where you can hunt northern lights (no light pollution from city).

Great location with an awesome view! There was a shared kitchen and washer/dryer area as well. Beds were comfortable, and the chair in my room saved my back - I'll explain lol The travel agency we used to book our hotels during our 2022 trip failed to give the correct info - as there were two of us, we had requested two twins instead of one double. This was not communicated to the hotel, and unfortunately, we were stuck in a room with one bed. Lucky for me, the chair in the room had a detachable backing/cushion portion, so I was able to sleep on that instead of the floor. We took two extra comforters from the laundry area, and paired with the chair cushion, made a somewhat comfortable little bed for me. I actually did manage to get a few hours sleep on it. But again, to be clear, this was NOT the fault of the hotel at all. They were not given the proper info by our travel agency, so I am looking at the room as if I was alone. If that were the case, everything would have been absolutely fantastic, hence the positive review. A not so great experience in an otherwise excellent accommodation. I would, however, stay here again for sure. I would just make sure to book the room myself instead of using that agency. Side note, I included pictures from a neighbouring room that had two beds, so anyone reading would get a proper idea of what the rooms are like.

Okay, so let's just say that this place is special! from the moment you check in and enter the biulding you experience a very high quality product. The rooms are modern and very clean. The sheets and every single piece of lining smells heavenly. You have a kitchen with very nice appliances and pretty much you can cook whatever you please. The management is super professional and very helpful. Let's talk about the views, get your cameras ready because the area is just amazing. We had a super nice stay and I would highly recommend this place, if there was 6th star I would ve give it with no hesitation.

Pratico! Camere con accesso diretto al parcheggio (oltre a quello principale), dotate di bagno privato. La zona living è un po' piccola, ma per una notte può andare.
