We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Matt the receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. He made an effort to chat with us about where we are from and told us all about how he once lived in the UK! We were given a free upgraded room and were able to see the stunning Northern Lights through our window! The location of the hotel is away from all light pollution so a great spot to see the lights. The food was also good in the restaurant and reasonably priced for Iceland.

Great hotel to see the Northern Lights!!! The hotel is in a very remote position in the heart of the nature which brings a sense of wild adventure (but cozy and comfortable at the same time). As there's mostly no light pollution except the hotel itself, it's truly ideal for aurora hunting. Despite all my effort stay out in the cold in previous nights, my best aurora spectacle is at this hotel, just outside of my cozy room. It's just wonderful and memorable event!!! The food is good also, I have a very nice dinner and good breakfast.

We stopped here on the way to Fosshotel glacier lagoon for dinner, and it was some very nice food and wine! Great location too, and it’s the same brand. And we really loved our stay in the sister hotel so would recommend.

My wife and I stayed here as it was in between 2 locations we were visiting; and we absolutely loved it. So far it’s been our best hotel experience here in Iceland. We don’t understand how it received anything below 5 stars; but we would recommend this to people staying between Vik and headed towards Skaftafell. We were also able to see the northern lights here as it is open land and nothing coming in the way to obstruct views!

This was a great hotel with excellent views right off the Ring Road. Staff here were excellent and the dinner in the main dining room was very good. The location was very helpful in breaking up my trip around the country.

Me and my partner had a great stay at this Hotel. We absolutely loved the experience in the restaurant - the food and service. It’s a great spot for chasing the northern Lights. The room was nice and clean.

Views are incredible and service was amazing. It is a great option for exploring the southern part of Iceland. We were close to all the sights. The room view was amazing and honestly out of a movie. The breakfast buffet was very good and tasty- includes everything you need for a good start of a long day, coffee was amazing. I will say the bathroom was a little out dated but aside from that room was perfect.

Rooms were a bit meh but great for northern lights viewing, very dark, ask for north facing room 😊. Literally went to sleep watching lights out window.
Great for the price.

This was my 2nd stay here - the first one was 5 years ago. The hotel still provides excellent rooms in this isolated area. Lots of parking, very convenient room, great breakfast and quite environment. Very fast internet, a safe in the room and wonderful views of the glacier.

Nine days into our trip we decided to extend a few more days. With the extra time we decided to make the drive from from Reykjavik to Glacier Lagoon, stopping at FossHotel Nupar along the way. We booked last minute and didn't arrive until 22:00. The front desk gentleman, I believe his name was Angel (my apologies if I got that wrong) was VERY accommodating and kind. There was an issue with our room, but he had it resolved before we arrived. Despite that he still offered putting us up in a different hotel 20 mins down the road free of charge if we would prefer that, but we were perfectly okay with the accommodations so we decided to stay and I am SO glad we did because we met by far the best bartender we have come across in Iceland. Hubert was his name and he was an absolute delight! Again, we have been here for over a week, traveled all around the country and visited several bars along the way, but none of those experiences compared to the time we had at the hotel bar with Hubert. He was so personable and friendly. Just an over all amazing human being who made us some of the best drinks I have ever had. He is a true cocktail artist. We experimented with different liquors as we sat there chatting it up with him and each drink came out amazing. The hotel itself has beautiful views, but honestly the staff is what made this place by far our favorite stay in Iceland. I highly recommend staying here and if you do please make sure to swing by the hotel bar and tell Hubert we said hello! He was an absolute gem. You won't regret your visit.

Incredible views in this modern green hotel. The breakfast offered scrambled eggs here which is unusual in Iceland, but the eggs were the best scrambled eggs I've ever had at a continental breakfast in the states or abroad. Excellent variety of breakfast foods. Beautiful views. Great place to walk around & enjoy nature.

The best feature this hotel is the restaurant. They have two sides of the restaurant. One is buffet style in the other. You order off a menu, but it's essentially the same food. The food is quite delicious. We didn't have anything that we can't recommend. They also have an electric car charging station and you can borrow the cable you need from the front desk which is great if you have an electric or plug-in hybrid.

We stayed here one night during our tour of the southern coast of Iceland. The rooms were lovely and the whole interior was very pleasing. They had a really nice happy hour where we had some nice gull Beer on tap before dinner. We had seafood soup, which was great. And the breakfast the next morning was a beautiful tasty spread.

As I was traveling with my last sweatshirt, they were kind enough to do some laundry… as part of a free service. I can’t thank you enough to be able to travel with clean clothing 😂💪. Besides of the great service, the hotel was very clean, huge and delicious breakfast and in an awesome calm location. The only thing missing was a hot tub, that would be the cherry on top 👏

Amazing, welcoming kind staff across the board. Whether it was reception or the restaurant, we had really positive interactions with everyone. Thank you. The customer service makes all the difference and here it was brilliant. The fish and chips in the restaurant was also amazing and full credit to the chef and waiting team for doing such a brilliant job. I was so surprised to find and eat such delicious food in a hotel. I’d go back just to eat here. Enjoyed the minimalistic design of the hotel room. It seems others don’t always feel the same.
