Nice hotel in a fairly quiet & peaceful location, with adequate parking.

Room was well lit, warm, and clean. Really enjoyed the coffee maker they had in there. Another thing I liked about the room was those cute lights on the bed. Fiddled with those quite a bit. Lulz.

Washroom was also well-kept & clean. I don't know if this is useful to anyone, but they had a hairdryer in there.

Breakfast was pretty good. There was a wide selection of fresh food to choose from. Even had boiled eggs!

All in all, I had zero complaints about this hotel. It was perfect for me!

My stay here was for a night on the 9th of October 2023.

Fantastic hotel. We had a great stay here. The room was huge and opened out onto a deck which was great in the summer heat. Really comfy beds, good sized bathroom and the staff were super friendly. One of the best places we stayed in Iceland. Lovely service for our honeymoon trip! Great buffet breakfast and local tourist information. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would recommend!

Great hotel to stay for day trips to the south coast. Staff were great, rooms were fairly basic, but you are here for the location. Complimentary breakfast is very well done.

If you get some quiet time at the end / beginning of the day, find this perfect spot, take an hour to chill or read or scroll your pictures. I found a next level peaceful moment here.

- BEST breakfast I’ve ever had. Lots of variety.
- Room was kind of old, no USB port.
- VERY CLEAN room. Every corner seemed to be washed, changed, or wiped down.
- Important amenities are all included. Conditioner!!
- SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF. From breakfast to reception, they were all extremely helpful.
- Perfect place to view northern lights. Many balconies to do so. Just hope the conditions are right.

Nice hotel. Sadly no hot tub. Breakfast was OK but nothing special- atleast it was a buffet. Beds were comfortable and rooms were modern and clean. Pictures are accurate. Gravel road taken to get there but it is in very good condition. Great place to rest your head as you make your way north. Until next time…

Magnificent! It's true that I connect my awesome experience of this hotel with my first aurora sighting. (Which was also possible due to little light pollution from the hotel, I'd say.) However, also without this, the hotel is a charm. Great bar, roof terrace, restaurant with amazing views, relaxed walks around it, good beds, rich breakfast choice.

First of all, we are super grateful to the lady at the reception desk, who despite the fact that the hotel was totally booked, managed to find an “emergency” room for us. No idea why it is called this way, but the tiny bungalows are usually for summer, but we got one in the mid of September and it was very nice.

Price/value combination so great.

Space: we had a small bungalow for ourselves. It is warm, has a heater in it, so at some point it was even hot inside, we had to turn it off.

Bed: the bed is comfortable, but the pillows are not.

Shower: okay, no gel/shampoo.

Breakfast: very good and there is things to choose from. We came at 9am, so everybody was already gone and there were no queue (as mentioned in other reviews).

Dinner: you can buy one there and I should say it is really good.

Staff: everybody is super friendly and helpful.

Amazing place, very close to the highway ( like 5 min), yet that far away that the Northern Lights came through stronger than I have ever seen before.
A good and a friendly service, excellent food and a spectacular view, visible fom inside the hotel due to huge windows!!! A place you have to stop at and enjoy during your south coast tour of Iceland!!!

Lovely comfortable room, slept really well, was quiet and had great beds.
Breakfast was fantastic, try the local pickled fish. A mix of hot cooked food, pasties, slads, fruit, fish, etc. Great selection. Ate a lot which saved on lunch later!

Beautiful breakfast area and bar, with great views. Even has a piano for guest use.

Great value for money family run hotel that I was very lucky to find and would highly recommend to everyone.

Lovely little hotel with functional, attractive rooms and an adorable dog (Lady) who will ask anyone and everyone to throw a stick or stone for her. The only thing that didn’t wow us was the dinner. 7500 kronur (~$54, not including tax!) per person for a buffet was a little ridiculous…. Instead, we recommend Systrakaffi (9 min. away) which serves great food for literally 1/3 of the cost.

The reception is not always open but 30 mins later it was open. The bar had Happy hour and dinner was a buffet but to our mind to the expensive side at 6.5Kr per person. The selection of items was excellent and easily representative of 3 courses.
Breakfast was included and was buffet style and everything kept topped up never a shortage of any item.

Comfy beds and big rooms. Best thing ever to wake up to a dog outside your door wanting to play fetch, especially if you are here on vacation and away from your own pets!! Lots of options at the restaurant and extra pillows are in each rooms closet.

Our room was upgraded, comfortable with a gorgeous balcony and view. Loved the remote location of this hotel. Perfect for viewing the northern lights which we saw from our balcony and their rooftop deck. Favourite spot we stayed in this trip and didn't break the bank. The breakfast had good variety too and generally nice cozy ambience at the hotel.

Very nice and cozy hotel.
Thay upgraded for free our booking from a classic to a standard room. The hotel is in a strategical position, away from light pollution and with an open view on the valley and the sea, so you can also see Northern Lights from the bar or just from outside the hotel.
