I was surprised when I found how rich this museum is. THIS place consists of three floors, each dedicated to a category and all of them interesting. There are many historical artifacts dating from recent history to more than 6000 years ago. I found some unique coins in this museum I couldn't find anywhere else. I highly recommend visiting here to all those interested in the rich culture of Iran. The personnel were polite and knowledgeable and they even stayed late for us to explore the whole museum.

It was a small museum, but full of Azerbaijanis history, in first floor have some cute stamp, some containers made at B.C. and the most important at the basement have a small exhibition room, and a souvenir shop. It was great museum, I spent around 1 hour in here.

The second most important archeological museum in Iran, Azarbaijan Museum was designed by Andre Godard, the French archeologist and architect around 80 years ago. The museum is home to objects from pre-Islamic and Islamic era as well as the findings belonging to pre-historical and ancient Iran, some of which are of 7000 years ago. In

During our trip through Western Iran we saw very few museums; but this was unmissable. It isn't very large, but the items on display are outstanding. Due to the number, the quality and the variety of the archaeological finds, the museum seems to be inferior in Iran only to the archaeological museum of Tehran. The museum gives an important overview about archeological value not only about Iran Azerbajan but also about all Iran.

I really enjoyed the exhibits in this museum. 200k rials entry for a tourist as usual but plenty to see.
