Recently I was in this store and asked for Platinum grade almonds because they are better quality than the others. At first the owner told me that he didn't have any and that I should just buy the Gold grade almonds. When I said that Gold weren't very good, suddenly he claimed that he had Platinum after all, but that they weren't yet packed. He asked one of his staff members to pack 0.5kg for me, and I paid for them and took them home.

After I got home, I opened the packet and realised that they weren't Platinum at all, and that they probably weren't even Gold. Platinum are much larger and they taste a lot nicer.

I took them back and told him, and he didn't even deny that he had not sold me Platinum. Now even though I had paid for Platinum, he first offered to replace it with Silver, which are much cheaper. I found this very bizarre, and I continued to ask him why he had sold me cheap almonds and claimed that they were the highest grade? He continued to ignore my questions, then suddenly he began to claim that after all he had sold me Platinum. Eventually I insisted that he should give me a full refund, which he did, and then left the shop.

The sad thing is that I had been going to this store for over a year and spent a lot of money with them, but if they are going to try and cheat their customers like this and hope their customers don't realise they are being cheated, then I have no wish to give them any more of my money.

Please avoid shopping here otherwise you too might be cheated like I was.
