Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park

It's good, has varieties of Animals like Tiger, Lion, Hyena, Leopard, Elephant, white tiger to name a few. Kids will definitely love it.

There is a lot to walk, You will need atleast 3 hour to cover the complete zoo along with snake park.

They do have facility of Electric vehicle which charges nominal and show you the zoo, but I would recommend to not use it as they are fast and you may not enjoy much.

Note: On Google the ticket prices are mentioned as 100, but ticket is just 40rs for Adults.

If you love animals then you must go to the zoo once with your family. The zoo is very big so go after having breakfast because inside you will only get the washroom and drinking water. To go inside, you will have to pay Rs 40 and a separate charge will have to be paid for taking photos with a photography camera. My traveling experience was very good. 🙂

Recently visited there and found white tiger addition as well as planning to reserve Hyenas soon. Lion boundaries newly organized and found female lion in cage that is not released yet. One of the favorite place for not only kids but also adults. This park management having big place with them for adding new animals without any trouble. Now you can scan QR code and without queue you can enter for the park.

The Zoological park is spread over 130 acres of land and has wide range of animals including Tiger, Lion, Elephant, Crocodile, Bear, Leopard, Deer, variety of snakes and many other animals. Ticket for an adult is Rs 40 and for children it is Rs 10. Since the park is really big in size it will take approximately 2 hrs to explore. If you are visiting with elders and children then I would recommend to use internal shuttle service which is electric open mini bus which will cost Rs 40 per person and children's will enjoy the ride too. You can carry outside food also. Drinking water and toilet facility is also available inside.

Went early on a Sunday around 10am, surprisingly there was no queue so bought tickets and went it and could take my time to stroll around without crowd.. the snake park was amazing and overall Many nice sights of various animals.. People working are super friendly and will easily answer all your questions with a smile... Must visit to observe wildlife and walk away realizing how our lives are inter dependent....

BTW Good place to see animals.... At weekend very rush is there... If want to see animals peaceful then visit non weekends.

Amazing place in man-made natural habitat for animals. Good experience watching animals and birds etc.
One recommended of going with elders is to get the tram/bus tickets inside the zoo since it's quite far from one end to another walking.
Must visit !!!

Big Garden provide various facilities like online ticket Available, free drinkable water , rikshaw for whom wanted to rider like safari.

Nice place to visit with family. Kids will love to watch the cute animals. Must visit place for kids. Bus option is also available to roam inside the premises of zoo. Personal electric vehicle can also be hired.

I visited during morning and almost all wild animal were seen playing later they went to rest during afternoon.

Hello friends, during my recent visit to Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, I had a wonderful experience. First, I bought the tickets, which cost Rs.30/person. Upon entering the park, I noticed that it was filled with lush greenery. My first stop was the snake enclosure, where I observed various types of snakes such as Naag, Dhamin, Cobra's, and more. All these snakes were safely placed inside glass boxes, allowing visitors to have a close look at them while being protected.

Afterward, I proceeded to explore the diverse range of animals and birds in the park. Although the number of birds was relatively low, there was a wide variety of animals. I had the opportunity to observe tigers, elephants, foxes, and many more animals up close. The entire visit lasted approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.

For convenient mobility within the park, cars are available for transportation. Overall, my experience at Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park was incredibly amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have an enjoyable time. So, I invite you to come and visit the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park located in Katraj, Pune.

This is amazing place. People can visit with friends and family. Affordable ticket prices. Slouth bear, tiger white tiger, lion elephants dear and many snake species are open to view with all the safety measures. The park has so much flora and fauna and greenery inside it. Must visit at any weekday except Wednesday as it closed at Wednesday. Have fun here!

It was highly overcrowded but in the end if you purchase ticket online then you can save 15 mins easily. We couldn't found Zebra and Giraffe and Gorrilas but in 2 hours we could manage to get good glimpse of White Tiger, Lion, Elephant, Crocodile, Russell's Viper, Monitor Lizard, Leopard, Tortoise

I had planned well after reading the reviews here. The visit was on Saturday, around 12.30 pm. I used cab service due to issues with car parking. To book tickets, I scanned the QR code mentioned on the display board and got a hassle-free, no-wait entry. The cab service is not available from 12pm to 2pm. Therefore, we decided to explore by walking with two 3-year-old kids. I started with a tiger instead of a snake and ended up seeing a lion. After reaching back to the starting point, we did not went to the opposite side to watch snakes, etc., as the kids were tired. The overall experience was very good. The area is well maintained and clean, and people were not seen littering anywhere.
There are no good food options near the entry. So, plan accordingly.
Memorable moments: the lion roaring, the foxes playing, the blackbucks enjoying themselves, and the tiger drinking water.
Recommend visit time: Morning till 12pm and 2pm till closing time.

It was great experience. We saw every animals from the zoo. We have checked in at 3pm and finished at 5.30pm. we have explored the zoo with walking as mini bus queue was very crowded. Good point of exploring by walking is you can spend time at points as much as you want. Parking is limited here as we had to wait for parking space.

Back in Jan 2023 I went to this zoo. And it has a wide variety of snakes. It was a Sunday so it was badly crowded. And it took us an hour to take out the tickets. And to watch every animal we had to walk a lot. But it was an amazing experience, like reliving the childhood ❤❤.
