This was my second time in hotel Vaishali with 20 mins wait time for a Sunday afternoon lunch.
For starters, we ordered veg cutlet which is served with green coconut chutney and chopped onions, it was refreshing and fulfilling.
We had mysore masala dosa, which is a must try if you come here for the first time since it's their speciality, it is made in pure ghee and tastes absolutely delicious. The Dosa is not crunchy, it is soft.. Only thing is it has too much ghee and it gets heavy for 1 person.
We also ordered masala dosa, it was classic masala with crunchy dosa, perfect size and perfect for 1 person.

Overall experience :
Food 9/10
Service 9/10
Ambience 8/10 since it's too crowded

Good place to go and suitable for family as well as friends. Beautiful and relaxing ambiance, especially their outdoor seating area, with dim relaxing lights. Food wise also the taste is good and the service is fast, staff is very efficient in their work. Overall a good place to visit, the price is a bit on the higher side, but considering the location where it is situated the price is justified.

It is on of the city's top most, reputed dine in destination. In peak hours rush is observed, so is waiting period.
They use quality raw materials. Taste is mesmarizing. Rates are on higher side and is natural.

What can I say about this iconic south indian eatery which the city of Pune is known for!
Mysore dosa is a must-try served with their fingerlicking sambhar and chutney! The batata wada is a family favourite. Their Sabudana wada is the epitome of deliciousness.. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Don't miss it.
Pair all this up with a filter coffee or cold coffee or their fantastic chai if you're a tea lover.
Overall, order anything blindly and you won't be disappointed.

It was a wonderful experience to have true south Indian food at Vaishali. In fact we have checked the reviews and went there. Absolutely correct reviews !
Service is good but very crowded. Never mind ...the food was too good.

According to a local Punekar, "Vaishali is not just a location, it's an emotion." I had heard a lot about this place but never had the chance to grab a table due to the crowds. Whenever I passed by, I always saw a group of people waiting for a table. Fortunately, I managed to secure a place this time around.

While the prices were on the higher side, I must say that the quality of the food and service was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely visit again in the future.

All time favourite for South Indian food. It's the best.
Two problems I have with this place one is waiting and another is parking other than that everything is perfect.

This is one of the old landmark restaurants in the area. It serves tasty South Indian food. The service is efficient, hygiene is maintained all the time and it's not very heavy on the pocket. For two of us the bill was Rs.600. And yes we had lunch there.
Must try if you are in that area of F.C.Road.

"An Energetic Morning Amidst the Tranquil F.C. Road"
It's an exceptionally early morning when F.C. Road graciously offers ample parking spaces for our vehicles. The tranquility of the dawn lingers until you step into the welcoming embrace of Vaishali Restaurant, where you're met with the invigorating buzz of patrons. The vibrant and lively atmosphere immediately sets a positive tone for the day.

Here, it's all about soaking in the vivacious energy and inhaling the delightful aroma of simmering ghee that gracefully wafts through the air. Every dish is a joyful adventure waiting to be savored.

The Mysore Masala Dosa graces your table, its golden surface shimmering with a generous drizzle of ghee, promising a delightful journey for your taste buds. Hidden beneath lies the aromatic aaloo chutney, exuding mouthwatering steam. Nearby, bowls of sambar and coconut chutney await, eager to enhance your culinary experience.

Tomato utappa, adorned generously with butter, arrives in a mouthwatering cascade, infusing every bite with a burst of flavor. Halfway through, your satisfied stomach still craves more—a testament to the deliciousness.

Concluding your meal with a one by two Chai, your taste buds are treated to a sweet and harmonious crescendo. You take a moment to relish the lively crowd, sink contentedly into your seat, and depart for the day, knowing that F.C. Road is about to burst into life, leaving you with a positively memorable morning.

Legendary! Have been visiting this restaurant for over two decades. This popular restaurant has always lived up to it's reputation of serving great food. Apart from the typical South Indian delicacies like Dosas, Idlis etc, their SPDP(Shev Potato Dahi Puri) is a must have! Filter coffee is awesome! This place is invariably crowded at any time of the day. Highly recommended!

It is a memory lane travel every time I visit here. As you can see, we ordered quite a lot for 3 people. I can’t say what was my favourite. Ghee roast, dahi vada, shev puri, are cutlet highly recommended. What I like is the food comes quickly with no compromise in quality. Some people don’t like the sambar here (slightly sweet) but I love it.
