Dapbiang Restaurant

A very good place to have nice authentic homely food, they serve variety of thalis ranging from veg, chicken and fish. We tried chicken and fish thali. The food was very good especially the chicken was very tender and juicy. Even the fish fried was very yummy and was fresh. Rohu is the fish used for fish fry. The place is just at the entrance to the Mawlynnong village. The owner is very sweet lady. They just need to improve their way of taking orders as in our case when we reached the hotel it was very busy and orders of every table was taken then only food started coming out

Amazing experience! Fresh authentic food, we opted for veg thalis and a plate of fish. The weather added to the already great experience, must visit.

P.S. - They have a new location opposite the post office, we went to the original location at the city square.

Very nice and simple place. The food is simply awesome and it gives peace of soul. The place is super clean. Very reasonable price compared to the serving portion.

Location : Mawlynnong village

Ambience: atmosphere is very good, well maintained by the village inhabitants. It was nice to see youngsters are managing the restaurant. The restaurant is located on the first floor.

Seating arrangement: sufficient seating arrangement..nearly 8 tables with about 36-40 chairs are present.

Price : reasonable, considering the location. Do keep in mind, we are having food in a north east village which is bestowed as the cleanest village of Asia.

Simple but tasty homely food. Veg thali was good and reasonably priced.

The owner Crosbina is very friendly and gem of a person. We had very nice conversation with her. We got to hear many local stories and their way of life.

Very LOVELY experience, the owner is very sweet and friendly, the food is authentic and homely. It is worth every rupee you spend here. Do come and support them, they are doing a great job!

I visited Mawlynnong on Oct '21. I had a very healthy and homely lunch in this restaurant. We had ordered omelette and chicken thalis. Veg thalis are available too. All in affordable prices. The waiting time is about 10 minutes.
I personally recommend and encourage to visit and relish a homely meal after wandering in the beautiful village and thus help them with their livelihood.

Good food. Served by pretty khasi tribe girl, we ate tribal food platter. Rice, several types of vegetables, salad chatni, chicken, papar fry.. price is reasonable.

Nice food..I have tasted the veg thali and it's 👌. Spicy chutney is simply superb.
