Sylhet's only international airport is the Osmani International Airport. It is decorated very aesthetically. This airport is very popular especially among foreigners. Like other airports, it is busy almost 24 hours a day.

Osmani Airport in Sylhet, Bangladesh, is the third-biggest airport in the nation after Dhaka and Chittagong. The airport is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) and is used by the national airline, Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Private airlines such as Novoair and US-Bangla Airlines offer domestic flights to Dhaka. Osmani International Airport was built in part during the Second World War to fend off Japanese attacks from Burma during the British era of rule over the Indian Subcontinent. The airport was renamed in 1971 to honor General M. A. G. Osmani, who led the Bangladesh Independence War and the Muktijuddho campaign. Prior to that, it was known as Sylhet Civil Airport.

A small airport but very clean and organized. There are some small shops selling soft drinks, coffee and tea, candies and other stuff . Bathroom was very clean and spotless.

This is one of the busiest international Airport of Bangladesh. Basically Sylhet is a foreigner based area, a huge amount of people from here live in abroad. They often come to home on vacation by this airport.

It was early in the morning, and everything was clean and tidy. Stuff was nice and helpful. Managed to check in pretty quickly with no issues on luggage weights. Stopped for random security checks, which were completed promptly, too. Overall, the experience was very good. The only thing I should flag up is to have more duty-free shops to allow passengers to do their last-minute shopping.

Biman carries people in Boeing 787-9 in Sylhet to Dhaka route. It's a short-lived but amazing experience. Best domestic travel in Bangladesh until now.

Staff were very friendly and kind upon arrival. Plenty of parking space available but there is a charge. Security system was quick and prompt. Overall was a very good experience on my way back home to the uk. I suggest they make it bigger especially for an international airport as it was hard to find direct flights from her back to the UK. The luggage trolleys should be free however there is a charge. Luggage wrapping services available but charge is 200tk is per luggage.

The new domestic terminal is nice, simple, and hassle-free. The staff at the counter and the security are so friendly. The airport improved allot since the last time I came, I tried to give a tip to a security screening officer but he didn't take it and said they don't take money which really surprised me. But soon as you step outside, a group of poor people begs and follows you for change which is normal.

Whilst on recent travels to Bangladesh and having travelled to Dhaka and Coxs Bazar by plane I must say Osmani International Airport is by far the best. It is clean, big and provides excellent service. A big change compared to previous years. Departure lounge is large and has good variety of shops for snacks. There is a smoking area once you pass security and waiting in departures. I hope this level of service never declines and continues to improve.

This is the third international airport in Bangladesh after Dhaka and Chittagong. Thanks to the expatriate Bangladeshi living in the UK. Most of them are from Sylhet region. Therefore, they require an international airport in Sylhet. The airport has a large area. It is calm and quiet, and mostly clean. I heard that the passenger terminal is going to be even larger through a new government project.

Bangladesh best airport. Considering current passenger capacity its quite large.

The only airport in Sylhet district. It’s not a busy airport. Unfortunately there are very few international flights available from this airport. The people of Sylhet have to travel to Dhaka to international flights.

Without any hazard stepped to the aircraft through domestic lounge. In the lounge good facilities for washroom and prayer. There is a big screen to pass the time. Overall good experience.

Excellent Airport.All the facilities are quite good.Washroom is also very clean.The best thing of this airport is that internal enviroment is very peaceful and calm.Internet speed is quite ok.The worst part is that all the shop inside the airport ask extra money for the product.Duty fee shop does not have enough item in its inventory.
