Pykara Lake scenic beauty and Boat Riding is far better than Ooty Lake's Scenic Beauty and Board Riding. fantastic time it was there.

Located a little far away from Ooty this lake is a must visit. In order to fully experience the beauty of the place you must do boating in this lake. We took a speed boat which showed us around for 20 minutes. The boat ride can get very windy and chilly, so better carry warm clothes.

The boating in Pykara was so good! Especially speed boating. It was a fun experience but just make sure to note the time, if they spend the complete mentioned 10 minutes. The view is worth it.

There is a boating facility with a different price structure for speed boating, 8 seater with open and close boats and the timings vary for certain boatings. Please check before you're gonna buy the tickets.

If you are alone, then you can check near the ticket counter if you can find some riders waiting to make a group and get around.

The ride was very pleasant and overall a great view to watch around and a must visit place in Ooty.

Lovely and peaceful and clean lake. Must do speedboat here. It's a big lake with heavy water. So mesmerizing place to visit. When we went, there was no rush. U can even spend the whole day here. They maintained this place.
For photography also this place is awesome.

A beautiful lake on the way to gadlur from Ooty! This lakes very calm and has its own uniqueness! You can go for boating here which costs 1100rs for a 8 seater and 1800rs for 12 seater! And 1400rs for 2 or 3 seater speed boat!

I absolutely loved this place, the lake is wonderful and its surrounded by beautiful forest and hills. Three types of boat riding is available there- 2/3 seater (speed boat), 8 seater and 10 seater boats are available. If you are going during noon, you can take lunch from the small restaurant in Pykara Lake boating house, as it's neat and clean.

One of the best managed lakes in Ooty and Coonoor, it offers the option to have a motor boat/speed boat. It is far better than Ooty lake. You can book a motor boat for 1000 rs for 8 persons or 1000 rs for a speed boat for 2/3 persons, they do not sell single.ticket, one needs to book the entire boat.there is a restaurant also beside it, it offers a snack with a beautiful lake view.
