You need a vehicle to reach here. Not really as walkable as Google Maps will lead you to believe.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering Garud Taal, and I am utterly enchanted by this hidden gem! Tucked away amidst the picturesque landscapes of [location], Garud Taal offers a tranquil and rejuvenating experience that is simply unmatched.

As I arrived at Garud Taal, I was immediately struck by the pristine beauty of the surroundings. One of the best hidden gems. Not many people visit this place as it is little off the motorable road. However it is extremely beautiful, surreal and serene.
It is located in the Sattal estate. There is a lakeside Christian Chapel open for all faith and is absolutely peaceful.
Beautiful emerald Lake with still waters make you feel calm and relaxed. One can spend time here and forget all worries of the world.
Not a place to visit if you are on a fun vacation with kids and family. But definitely visit if you are visiting the hills for a peaceful vacation.

Beautiful, serene and away from any form of commercial activities - Garud Taal is majestic. Though it is said to be hidden gem, more and more people visit this place. You can walk through the jungle and see the taal closely while admiring the nature in its true form. It is a surreal experience to be here. When I visited Garud taal in September, no one was there - so the solitude seemed like a true gift. Just a request - please don't litter and throw beer bottles, plastic bags and use the dust bin there.

It’s a serene, quiet and beautiful lake. No commercial activities in its vicinity. You can spend an hour here just sitting and relaxing without the maddening noise of crowds and hawkers. You need to go through an easy 200 mtrs trek to reach the lake which is amazing if you have small kids as they will feel all pumped up. The colour of lake and that of reflections from the surroundings lend it a unique character. Make a pit stop here on your way to the noisy Sattal lake.

This is a small and vergin lake within forest on the way to Vhimtal. This lake is till now little bit away from crowd and civilization. A heavenly place with crystal green water. Must visit this beauty if you are on the way to Vhimtal.

One of the very less explored lakes it's also known as Emerald green Lake becos of its colour one can sit here and enjoy the peace and clam amongst lots of birds chirping and if lucky see a few of them bathing... Has a lakeside chapel as well...mornings you get some great views..enjoy the picsE

One of my favorite lakes in Kumaun region of Uttarakhand. The best part is that it is still unexplored and has the natural poise in it. No shops or commercial activity near this lake. So visit here if you are in love with nature. Go to the Christian meditation center located at the bank of the lake and watch the white cross right in front of you across the lake. Its mesmerizing.

Garur Lake is one amongst the seven lakes (Sattal). Is a picturesque & tranquil location. Must visit place for nature lovers. Bird watching is yet another charm of the place. Ideal for day picnic. You may too enjoy swimming here, but venture only if you are well-versed swimmer. ( Kindly do not litter if you visit the lake).

Peaceful and calm place, though lake is a bit dangerous and not for kids if not taken care by parents .

We've heard about this lake and we also saw the warning signs board before the lake about it's very deep and don't swim in the lake our parents also aware us to don't go around the lake. We there on our own risk and took some awesome photographs. Love the untouched nature there. Very good for visit on sunny days. But please follow the rules you'll be more enjoy and got more safe. Please also request to throw your garbage into the Dustbin properly. Thank you. Happy Trip.

If You like to stay in peace then this is right place. Just go there , take off your shoes and sit in relaxed mode and close your eyes for 15-20 minutes. You will find yourself in a different world. This place is close to nature. But as came to know from local sources that this is very deep taal so just keep away from water...

What a wonderful place to admire Mother Nature.
I’ve been to this place only once nearing sunset. I have to yell you i was very scared at first. This place is very scenic and quiet. Good for relaxing and meditation.
