Big Lake situated at little bit outside of Nainital. Boating is available here. If you want to do Paragliding, the booking place is nearby. You may also find guides asking you for paragliding activity.

This is a very beautiful lake and place near to Nainital. one can do boating and other sports activities. You can also do shopping and try snack.

Quiet better place than nainital actually... because in nainital you have to pay Rs. 100 for entry in mall road and after that there is a big issue related to parking and than also have to pay for parking in nainital and quiet satidfying but not that great satisfaction foe lake. Same view and same boating experience you will get in bhimtal and its quiet cheaper than nainital. Must visit once.

This tal is better then Nainital , very large , but will cover with in two hrs, take bot for full tal, not a round, then you will enjoy

Bhimtal is awesome location with good mountain and lake views. Crowd also less as compared to the Nainital. Boating and other sports activities can be done here. There is another Lake called Naukuchia tal 5km from there, that also great location to visit and relax.

Bhimtal Lake is located at an elevation of 1375 meters (4511 ft) in Bhimtal Town in Naini District of Uttarakhand, a state of India. The Lake drains a catchment area of 17.12 square kilometres or 6.61 sq. mi. In 1883 a masonary dam was built to create a storage facility to provide drinking water and to support agriculture. Over the years it has also started supporting aquaculture with variety of fish species. The catchment area of the lake has dense forest cover consisiting of Chir, Pine, Ban Oak and mixed deciduous forests. There is an island at the centre of the lake which has been developed as a tourist attraction and has an aquarium. Lovely place for a stop-over.

The pride of Bhimtal is a beautiful lake which offers magnificent vistas for tourists. The lake is larger than Naini lake. Tourist enjoys here boating in lake.

A beautiful place with a gorgeous lake. Loved the place. It is not as insanely crowded as Nainital.
