Ramatirtha Nature Camp, Similipal

We stayed here for a night!

Initially we planned to book a 10 bedded AC Suite, but at the last moment unfortunately it got booked. We settled on a non-AC 10 bedded suite.

We were happy with the cleanliness and washrooms. It has 2 rooms with 4 beds and a dorm type hall with 6 beds. It overall had 3 washrooms with geysers.

The suite was overall spacious and is recommended for large groups and families as well .

The food costs 50Rs PP for breakfast, 150Rs PP for Lunch and 250Rs PP for dinner. The quality of food and service is amazing and I totally recommend having meals here.

The staff is also helpful and cooperative.

The inhouse crocodile breeding center (non-operational) had 4-5 crocodiles in captivity which can be seen in a inhouse lake and cage.

The only drawback is Similipal Forest Sight Seeing points are a bit far from here but still one can choose to spend a night or 2 here for a serene experience.

The place is very peaceful and calm. The staff is very sincere and helpful. The food is mouthwatering, they prepared country chicken for us and the taste was amazing.

Special mention for Mr. Manoranjan Behera who was very cooperative made sure that the stay was comfortable.

It's around 2kms from Jashipur bus stop. You can find Auto from the bus stand at any time. We reached around 4am in the morning, and took an Auto to Ramatirtha nature camp. As the hotel was not booked, the previous night, they allowed us to stay there before our booking time. As we arrived early in the morning, they asked for breakfast as well. Service is great.

One of my first field visit as an aspiring wildlife enthusiast was this place. The Ranger there Mr Majhi was extremely calm and helpful throughout our time there. The stay and food was impeccable and the knowledge I gathered during my stay there will remain as one of my cherished memories.

Do visit the place for Experiencing the Project Crocodile and Roaring River aside

This nature camp is outside of Similipal Reserve Forest area, near Jashipur. You needn't any entry formalities here as you do to stay inside reserve forest. However, the experience is never the less. A crocodile research centre is inside the premise. Cottages are within man-made forest area, so you'll not miss the experience of residing within a forest. Bhandan River flows very nearer to the cottages and you can hear "sound of the stream" during calm silent nights. The famous Ramtirtha waterfall with mythological importance is nearby. Lesser known Alkudar Waterfall is also nearer to this place. You can enjoy a trekking experience to visit this waterfall.

It is highly suggested to spend a night here and explore outside attractions of Similipal before entering the reserve forest and staying at Jamuani or Barehipani.

A crocodile breeding centre in mayurbhanj. Also there are marks of Lord Ram's foot print and thus the place got it's name. This comes under Similipal biosphere reserve.

One of the best places in Mayurbhanj Shimilipal area. Nicest place for picnic, photo shoot and enjoying nature. Crocodiles are also an attraction there. A must visit place.

The place is amazing and so was the stay....the owner of the shops outside are very welcoming.....the place is very scenic...and believe me there is a dog who will guide you everywhere you go....you just have to call him...and do feed him something.....

Best place to chill out. Safe for children seeking picnic..

It'd be great if they arrange a guide to tell about the Mugger project.

Good picnic place in the lap of nature. 2 km from Jashipur, Mayurbhanj. It is a crocodile breeding centre and Nature interpretation centre also. 1 km from N H.
