FALTA FORT

It's a historical place. Students of history and also interested persons may visit this Fort.
It is always open..no permission or ticket is required to enter inside the fort.

Good place to have a trip... It is a old fort... It is near Ganga... Heard from the locals that it was very big fort but it has very small remainings left... It can be a better tourist attraction if it is maintained well... Wish to visit again... Thank you...

One of the famous historical structures of India and Bengal. The britishers lost their 1st battle at Plassey to Shiraj-Ud-Daullah and fled here to Falta from where they planned their 2nd and the most decisive attack.

১৭৫৬ সাল নাগাদ ইংরেজরা নবাব সিরাজ দৌলার কাছে হেরে গিয়ে ও বিতাড়িত হয়ে কলকাতা (তখন নাম আলিনগর) থেকে পালিয়ে এসে ফলতার এখানেই আশ্রয় নেয়। এই জায়গা গুলো ইংরেজ দের স্মৃতি বিজড়িত। এখন তো প্রায় বিলুপ্ত ও ধ্বংসের দিকে চলে যাচ্ছে নিদর্শন গুলো। তবুও পুরনো কেল্লার যতটুকু অবশিষ্টাংশ রয়েছে তা অনেক সাক্ষ্য বহন করে আসছে।

Tourist attraction of the British Era. This fort is surrounded by a moat with a draw bridge (non existent now), but the mechanism can still be seen near the fort entrance.

It's not 🚫 bad place. এখানে একটা উঁচু ইংরেজদের তৈরি চারকোণা বিশিষ্ট টাওয়ার আছে।
