A must visit if you are in Tamluk. This place is mentioned in the Mahabharata. It was earlier known as Tamralipta and many stories revolve around the goddess. It's one of the Shakti peeth where the left ankle of Sati fell.
First, the pushpanjali then Puja happens, one can easily enter and have a darshan. Since we visited on a Monday we didn't face any crowd.

The most visited religious place of Tamluk area... this temple is one of the famous and well renowned temples of Westbengal...
Maa Barghavima exists here and people from across the state comes to here to take her blessings ...
Located inside the busy locality of tamluk with availability of car or bus parking at the back of the temple..
You can keep your shoes and other belongings in the shops located outside the temple from where you can take offerings to maa Barghavima as well like sweets, flowers, garlands and many more
Inside the temple the line for offering the puja is well maintained and disciplined enough with people offering puja to maa one by one in normal queues...
There are options for organized rituals inside the temple like marriages as well you need to connect with their officials from before hand for such occasions.
There are opportunities or facilities to receive Mayer Prasad or bhog as well with minimal funds or offerings to the temple as donation as well...
There is a huge piple tree (bot gach) where you can offer your wishes with small ghots available in shops nearby ...
Overall a very well maintained temple with Maa Barghavima inside and showering her blessings to everyone 🙏

Very well maintained, devoted place. Well connected by road. It is located at the heart of Tamluk city. There is parking zone available.
One thing I would suggest, just keep your eyes open and don't get fooled by the shopkeepers, but also remember that everyone is not same. Go and get the Darshan of goddess Bargabhima, one of the famous Sati peeth in West Bengal. At this place sati Devi's left ankle was dropped.

It is an Kali temple. This place has been mentioned in Mahabharata as a place which Bhima acquired. This temple is considered as 51 shakti peth of mother Durga where left ankle of sati fell.

The temple is the mixture of Bengali Hindu and Buddhist culture.Due to this Shakti tradition, many freedom fighter of Midnapore district took oath here that they will follow the path of dharma and free their motherland with the help of armed revolution. Famous revolutionary Khudiram Bosu used to come here to perform puja.

Old Religious hindu temple… at the heart of the Tamluk town in East Medinipur, west bengal, India, no parking anywhere…free roadside parking available…lots of traffic, 3 wheelers ( called TOTO) are the best… NO Access for wheelchairs….no assistance required… can move freely inside…shoes are not allowed inside..should be kept with the designated area.

One of the Shaktipeeth located in Tamluk. This is one of most visited religious place to seek blessing of the Devi. One can offer prayers through puja. You can also talk to the office to arrange puja , bhog ( Prasad of Maa) and others religious activity. Overall the place is maintained properly where you spend some time in devotion, peace and tranquility.

This west facing temple of Goddess Kali (Ma BARGAVIMA) is at TAMLUK and about 19 km ( by road) from Mecheda Railway station of Howrah -Kharagpur-Midnapur rail route.

Out of ten phases of Shakti called Mahamaya, Goddess Tara is the second.Here Ma BARGAVIMA represents Goddess Tara. The sacred idol is formed by a single block of stone.

This temple consists of:-
Baro Deul ( inner sanctum) : It is large smooth curvilinear rekh deul ( Orissa type) having 5.7 m square base and 12 m high.
Jagmohan ( hall of audience) : It is single entrance Charchala porch of 5.4 m square base and 7 m high.
Plain roofed Natmandap .
This temple is on raised platform of 22 stepped stairs.

It is said that Garurdwaj , descendant of Mayurdwaj ( landlord of TAMLUK in past) built this temple. However this temple was built probably in the first part of seventeenth century.

This temple is open daily from 7-30 AM to 1-30 PM and 3-30 PM to 8 PM for offering Puja and Darshan.
Annual religious festival is Katyayani Choturdashi .🕉🙏

The temple was great, One thing I was impressed with was the transportation. I got a train and just as we came out of the station there was a bus stop, and after my stop I got out of a tamluk hospital mode where there was a totto stand on the left which takes you directly to the temple. When leaving the temple as I walked out a lot of tottes went by. There wasn't much of a waiting time and in the mode you ll get quite quickly as well which will drop you by station.

Religious place. But this is no MTV entertainment place, only temple. This is one of the very religious place. Many outsiders visit here. If you want to perform puja, there are many shops around to get th puja items.

Out of the 51 Shaktipeeth this one. This temple is in the market. Road are very narrow. Parking is availble in walking distance. Bhog distributes from 1:30PM. You have to buy bhog coupon in morning of same day or 1 day before. Not much waiting time for puja. Puspanjali also happen. Big area 3 halls are there you can sit there.

This temple is very crowded on holidays. There is no place to store cars here

Bargabhima temple is one of the sakti pith nd very famous temple. In here u can calm ur mind...nd the food serve here is very delicious..... every day so many people visit....the atmosphere of the temple is very calm nd beautiful nd the sandha arati is nice...nd there is a tree where u can tie a dhaga fr ur wish come true ✨🙏🙏🙏....in here marriage nd other social gatherings also occurs....this place is very spiritual and holy....

Excellent management. No interference of pandas like there in other pithas. We have taken bhog which was also excellent in taste, quality and portions. Behaviours of Management and all Sevaits were too good. Other pthasthans should learn from Bargavima to provide such superb experience to all Bhaktas.

This is a famous temple in other side it is a big shaktipith. There have a big arrangements of prasad( bhog) in lunch time. When I visited that was the very peaceful & free time to pray God. I will say everyone to visit the temple
