The most delicious lamb shanks and Irish coffee, so much so that we went for a second round! What an amazing place in the heart of Mahabaleshwar. I would not have expected such rich quality of food in this hill station. Lucky to have found this gem. Fewer options for vegetarians and amazing for non veg.

Quaint, relaxed place with helpful staff and an interesting nenu. We tried the prawn patia, chicken dhansak and mutton keema pav. Everything was excellent. The strawberry wine was the highlight of the meal. Do go when you're in Mahabaleshwar.

The ambience is just perfect. Really good place for a couple or family dinner. The staff is really pleasing and very helpful. Little expensive but worth the money.
Last but the most important was the food. The food was mind blowing. We had a soft shell crab and mutton Dhansak. Quantity was really good for 2. Taste wise i would rate it a 10/10.
Keep up the good work.
Would highly recommend this place to try atleast once for non veg and authentic Parsi food and you would surely love it.

Read some good reviews and wanted to try it out, no disappointment- wonderful and wholesome food, great taste, and good qty. Service was quick. Place has a lovely setting, very small but very neatly made up. Has a bit of history, which can be read while you wai for yoru food. Tried the Crab burger, the mutton dhanshak, kheema pav, chicken burger, oven fried pizza... nothing was plain ordinary- each had its unique taste. Bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny.

Grapevine is what legends are made of. A restaurant of Mahabaleshwar, much before the hustle and bustle of tourism took over this place. Grapevine is an amalgamation of Parsi, Continental and Western cuisine. This place has a rich history, which you can read online or the placemats copy put on every table. Though it is famous for burgers, we found the other dishes equally competitive. The ambience and crowd at this place are rich

Post Lock down (Covid)
We visited the restaurant on weekend and to avoid crowd we took parcel from here.
The place is located on one way lane and has tight parking space, so good luck finding one. It took approximately 30 minutes and one of the restaurant staff came to our car and handed us over a large box (just like a cake box you get from bakery). The box had pretty neatly kept food items.
Lamb Burger, mash potato & salad, pasta alfredo, french fries, lamb shank.
We ordered all this in dinner for 2 adults, 2 children, and we all loved it. As expected kids avoided eating salad. All I can say is The Grapevine is the best place to have Parsi and Continental food in Mahabaleshwar.

Awesome place. Gives you an old school feel. Loved everything. We ordered crab burger, lamb burger, chicken burger, veg burger and lamb shanks. Everything was nice. Lamb was well cooked. It just melts in your mouth. The photos show lamb shanks served with mashed potatoes and salad with dressing of tobasco sauce.

This is a place we never miss everytime we visit Mahabaleshwar. Sometimes, for more than one meals. This place continues to satisfy our carvings for authentic, fresh and honest food. The lamb shanks are yumm and simply fall off the bone. The prawn patia is tasty. The food is worth every penny you'd pay. The ambience is quiet and laidback, perfect for a mid-day meal or a late evening grub.
The service is smooth and the staff is very friendly. Especially, Mr. Gangaram Chavan who has spent over 2 decades with the owners and continues to offer recommendations with enthusiasm and a warm smile.

A nice restaurant with multiple italian, non-veg starters options. Mostly recommended for people want to have some finedine with a glass of wine or something. Price is slightly high but taste and ambience is awesome. Getting parking near hotel will a lot trouble as it's in a narrow street so park you car outside on main road and walk to place.

What a lovely find. Amazing small quaint place. Great food. Have come here couple of times. Mutton Dhansak, kheema pav and chicken burger are worth the taste. Place is a little small so manage the crowds on weekends.

Highly recommended.

Grapevine is a very cosy restaurant on three levels, including a mezzanine floor and a basement. The smaller 4 seater wrought iron tables are at the basement and ground floor level, and a 10 seater table on the mezzanine. We were greeted by the bartender as we entered. The menu mainly has a number of Parsi dishes like dhansak, patra ni macchi, salli boti mutton, as well as pastas, burgers and pizzas. Though it is an excellent restaurant for the die-hard non vegetarian, one can also have a good choice of veg food too. Prices were reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food.
We visited Grapevine on two occasions on our last trip to Mahabaleshwar. Once we tried their Bar-b-q chicken with Mediterranean cheese toast, and both were excellent. Another time we had the Pasta Napolitane and Garlic toast. They serve cocktails and mocktails too, but we had a simple fresh lime soda to go with the food. The service is very courteous. In fact the owner, Mr Raiomand Irani himself came down to make sure we were enjoying the meal. We would definitely love to visit again on our next trip to Mahabaleshwar, and try Raiomand’s Parsi food.

Forget the food . The owner will himself addresses enquiries about the food and experience you’ve had in the restaurant. This I think speaks volumes about the place.

Had gone to Grapevine for lunch and absolutely loved . If you love Parsi Cuisine you should definitely have The Grapevine in your calendar when in Mahabaleshwar .

The Dhansak is the best I’ve had thus far . Missed out on Patrani Fish though since they did not have it .
A prawn starter - name which is cannot recollect was also out of the world .

Definitely a must visit place when in Mahabaleshwar.

visit this lovely restaurant THE GRAPEVINE in Mahableswar market. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in mouths. And specially they served us mango wine which taste great. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Mahableswar . Highly recommend!

Some tastes are acquired.
So if you have that taste for authentic Parsi food and wine, this is the place whenever you're in Mahabaleshwar.
Went there during my bike trip from Kochi to Mumbai via Mahabaleshwar. I've listed this place in itinerary before that.

It's a small restaurant, with a classy look. With iron heavy furnitures. :)
It's run by a third generation Parsi who is a chef, which i learned from there, but unfortunately couldn't meet him, coz we went right before the afternoon closing time.

I tried mutton dishes mainly. Excellent food. I liked the taste, variety and the wine as well. :)

Its reasonable price for the quality of the food they serve, and especially the ambience. I do pay for that.

We had ordered Akoori Toast, Prawn and Veg Dhansak. It was delicious.

Some of the best food in Mahabaleshwar! The Lamb Shanks and the Mutton Dhansak are a must have. The meat is cooked beautifully. The chicken burger, pasta and pizza were also good.

If you want a decent restaurant and good non vegetarian food with Indian and Western cuisine go for it, located in central Mahabaleshwar, this place offers good food with good ambiance, it also serves drinks and dessert delicacy like Irish ice cream etc , Service is also good.
