What a place..peace and good feeling inside the temple. Do not miss the pachganga temple.. really magic water. Water tastes pure and fresh. Like the temple being maintained in the old form. The Krishna river temple needs maintanence and restoration.. did see some work going on. The view from there is very nice.

Beautiful, clean temple. Sudden visit to mahableshwar after many years. Early morning temple.to be visited less crowd and get more time to spend. Panchganga temple where 5 rivers meet and the water is so fresh and clean. We can rake the water at home too. There are many local shops nearby and local restaurants for breakfast. The old mahableshwar temple, atibaleshwar, and panchganga are on the same premises. There are strawberry shops as well. As you exit the temple, there is an artifacts shop, where numerous variety of utensils, home decor, home essentials things available.

Its religious significance is more than that of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The shrine dates back to the 16th century and follows the Hemadant style of architecture. Best time to visit is in morning hours with very less crowd.

Must visit when you are in Mahabaleshwar. This Shiva temple is more than 800 years old and the shivling is in rudraksha form which is very rare and unique.
Temple is around 7 kms away from Kates view point. You can reach via old Mahabaleshwar road which is a beautiful forest road. You would need to cross Mahabaleshwar checkpost where they will collect entry fees.
There is ample parking space at the entrance and there is a shopping area as well.
There would be queue for entering the temple.

This Siva lingam is in rudhraksha form. Place is full of positivity and peace.

Avoid using plastic bottles and carry bags in tourist attractions.

Mahabaleshwar Temple is a highly revered Shiva Temple. it is the only temple in the world with a Linga in the form of Rudraksha. There is no entry free and one can spend 30 mins -1 hr as there is not much rush and you can easily pray. Towards exit, you can have free prasadam.outaide temple premises, you can click pictures. Panchganga temple is also very close to it.

The Shivalinga which is awakened is shaped like a Rudraksha and made like a Rudraksha Such a legend is told....
If you want to come here, you can take a taxi from Mahabaleshwar taxi stand to visit the points or if you have your own car, you can come by your car. From Mahabaleshwar main city, the surrounding name is within a radius of ten kilometers to this temple.

Too crowded don't go weekends or public holidays people are wasting their precious time

Very very nice looking weather and peaceful place lord Shiva temple.....I went with my friends ghat road is very thrilling.

Beautiful temple, go early in the morning if you want no rush, I went around 7:30am on a Sunday morning and the temple was empty and you could sit in peace.

Mahabaleshwar Temple is famous temple of lord shiva. Visited there on 14th Aug. as it was Monday that too in sawan, found a quite long waiting queue.

It’s all worth it wait. When you’ll have Darshan ❤.

Must visit place whenever you visit Mahabaleshwar.

Car Parking 20 INR.

Tip : If you’re going from Pune, leave Pune by 6am you’ll arrive temple by 8:30 or max 9am. When we reach there, haven’t find any traffic, but after leaving temple it took around 30-40min just to get out from the temple road and there was huge traffic.

I recently visited the Mahabaleshwar Temple and was thoroughly impressed. The temple itself is stunning and filled with intricate architectural details. We visited on a weekday (Tuesday).. not much rush in the temple. Got enough time for darshan.

Parking is paid. Shops are there to buy candies souvenirs, toys, idols etc..

This area is called old mahabaleshwar or kshetra Mahabaleshwar.There are 5 to 6 temples in vicinity. All r ancient. It has historic value with incident in Shivaji maharaja’s life.
Shivlings r Rudraksha like. There is story of this temple. I am putting in photo.
Panchaganga temple is place where 5 rivers krishna Gayatri Savitri koyana. Bhagirathi and Saraswati comes to meet every few years.

Krishnamai temple: near Krishna valley point. Very nice view of Krishna river which has dam in that area. Temple is clean but not may tourist come here. It also has jyotirling.
Local people said snakes move around in temple when quite.
