Ruby Hall Clinic, Wanowrie

So I had a proper hospital experience in India after long time (decades actually, touchwood). The last time I visited a hospital was a decade ago this at singapore, for a day. And I am amazed at the level of care, service, warmth, efficiency, humane, infrastructure, and very reasonable cost received here in Pune.

I now understand why NRIs prefer getting treatment in India despite risking travel and time. And it is not just for the cheaper cost, or for access to multiple doctors, or multiple opinions, or for easy access to OTC medicines, or for the higher jugaad levels. My experience at this hospital was far better than my experience at singapore hospital which was great too. Ruby Hall Wanowrie rates a 6/5! .

Normally the thought of a hospital visit scares us normal mortals at multiple levels. We are scared they will scare us more; over complicate things to inflate bills; trick us to stay additional days in rooms/in ICU; over medicate us to make us weaker, meeker; and make us chase and wait for doctors.

Nothing of that sort happened here.

- The senior surgeon (Dr Parimal Kore) would personally contact us every alternate day. The knee surgery on my 73yr old relative went fine, and he certified there are no complications.

- Despite taking pre-approvals for additional blood bag, icu stay, additional investigations etc. none of which were used or billed.

- Staff in private hospitals globally are professional, nice, efficient. But in India (and some South Asian countries) the hospitality levels belong to another planet. You see that in hotels too. Staff here were warm, caring, endearing and built human level connects.

- The billing was very reasonable and below my expectations; and 20% lesser than quotations from rival hospitals. They don’t inflate bill seeing the insurance coverage, as most hospitals do.

- Because of the above, patients don’t like to leave the hospital. When I went for admission, all beds, rooms and ICUs were full and they literally had to chase two patients out saying they need not overstay. Even our doctor was fine to discharge on day4. We requested extension till day6!

- Now many will read this and say yes in my preferred hospital also they do this that etc. but do we acknowledge that often, feel grateful and thank them often? Maybe not. Maybe we take good things around us too much for granted.

- if PM Modi is force pushing for India to be a hub for medical tourism, he is absolutely on the right track.

I found Doctors are good professionally & willing to an extra mile to make patients comfortable. Of course! the supporting staff all through my stay found prompt, committed & friendly. You are maintaining checks & balance system so perfectly that there is wonderful coordination between all different departments of the hospital management. Cleanliness was too good. Professional yet friendly staff led by Superlative doctors, attentive nursing staff and subordinates. The security staff too were professional staff, and ever ready to offer assistance.

Good Hospital in Wanowri Pune. Very clean. All modernized equipments facilities available under one roof. Doctors are well Qualified & experienced for perfect diagnosis. Staff is very polite & caring.

Decent hospital with good doctors on panel and courteous staff. Hygiene in hospital especially of common washroom can be improved though

My husband was admitted for high grade fever, later diagnosed as dengue. The nursing as well as housekeeping staff were excellent and prompt in attending. The cleanliness in the hospital was really good.

My own personal experience is visit for your sickness,n any health issues, without a single thought.the doctor's are really good and the staffs are to good n caring n help full. Radiology staff is very courteous, very cooperative.
Housekeeping staff is also upto their mark.

Canteen’s food was good for patient as it was less oily and no compromise on taste.

I was rushed to the hospital at 3am after a heart attack. I half expected unwanted delays with paperwork and procedures but to my surprise inwas wheeled to the cath lab and after necessary tests, the procedure was done and I was out of the cathlab into the ICU In 90 mins.

I'm am impressed by their efficiency and attitude towards the patient.

The room was nice and service was excellent.

The physiotherapy department at Ruby Hall Clinic is very well equipped. I was advised physiotherapy for 7 days for back pain. Within 5 days I was feeling confident again. All thanks to Dr Amreen, who is a thorough professional has lot of patience and most importantly knows her patients. Thank you once again for getting me back on my feet.
