The best part of our stay was food. Although they take time to prepare almost all of it was five star quality, possibly best i had eaten in a long time at Hotel restaurants. The hotel was under still a bit of renovation but they are managing the process very well, no paint job smell or sounds. Everyone was cordial and helpful.

It's one of the oldest hotels in puri. The property was erstwhile property of railways which now has been converted to a hotel. The rooms are spacious, have maintained the old grand vintage feeling. The hotel was under renovation though when I had visited. It had a very small pool apt for kids. The location is very close to the beach, but with new buildings coming up in front of it the sea view is completely obstructed. One can walk to the beach though. The food menu is ok and breakfast layout is average but sumptuous. Most guests don't dine in the hotel except for the breakfast.

Only drawback I felt was that most of the woodwork in the rooms are termite infested which needs urgent care from the staff.

I and my family stayed there for 3 days and we loved it! Will surely go back to stay there whenever I visit Puri next! The team Managing the Hotel is excellent!
Food was very delectable and the Service of the Hotel staff was excellent 👌

The third best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at....Gorgeous buildings dating back to European styles, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk and explore the other areas such as The Gym,The swimming pool and many more to enjoy.The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The vintage aesthetics were awesome!!!♥♥♥
They also recommended us to visit the places we wanted in proper times to avoid the crowd.Everything was great at this hotel.....amazing staff friendly and this is what makes customers feel welcome!!!

Very nice rail heritage hotel. Worth for money when I have visited in July end. Sea beach on walking distance. Rooms and bathroom very Big... Swimming pool clean. Garden is big and nice. Parking area is big. Staff is pollite. Restaurant is nice 24x7 open. ( In the night after 10:30 pm limited items). Nice location to relax after tiredness of day activities. Security on the main gate available. Overall experience is awesome.....

Loved this hotel, well mannered staff, delicious food available in the restaurant and the prices are not high up as well.

What I loved the most about this property is the vastness of it. They have fun games spread out all throughout the property that you can enjoy with your friends and family.

We stayed at the BNR chanakya hotel for 4 days and it worth every penny. The relaxed and quite ambience gave us the space that we needed. Please keep in mind that this is a heritage property hence the furnitures, sanitary ware although very clean will not have the feel of a modern 5 star hotel. Stay for great location, quiet stay and easy access to important places.

Very nice hotel.. food quality is awesome and service is very good. The staff is also very cooperative. The pool is nice and beach is 500 mtr from the hotel. The terrace is just too good to sit and relax enjoying the evening breeze. Recommended to all if you have budget

Loved the experience, with my son being a railway buff it was a good stay. The complimentary breakfast was also wonderful. We had a slight hiccup of water not available for about half an hour but rest it was OK. The building is old but superbly maintained, the staff were also quite helpful.

The hotel is an amazing experience to stay.The rooms have an old world charm along with modern amenities. The rooms are huge and it turned out Nice for my kid to run around.The corridors are wide .The food is very Nice.Try chicken roast if you are fond of continental. The lawn is nice. The location of the place is very good and close to blue flag beach.

This heritage hotel is located in a comparatively peaceful location in Puri (CT road) and is walkable to the beach. The rooms have an old world charm and have the expected facilities. There is ample space for parking and for hosting events such as weddings. The food at the restaurant is excellent too.

Ideal place for people visiting Puri. Little away from the crowded places and yet near. The place is just 500 mtrs from the station. Has an old charm to it. Rooms are large and super clean. Ideal for people who love to be in the hustle bustle and yet watch it from a distance. Food is ok. There are much better options for that nearby.

An amazing hotel for stay. Truly worth for money. We stayed in deluxe room and the room was amazing and big. Clean room and bathroom. Food service was also good. All the dishes were really delicious and were value for money.

Beautiful heritage hotel. The most striking aspect of this place is it's utter serenity and peaceful ambience. Perfect for families with kids,elderly and also for some seclusion for anyone wanting it. Very well maintained rooms.large.comfortable beds,clean bed linen,toiletries and perfect housekeeping bnr is definitely the best. Complimentary breakfast has variety of choice. You can also order a-la carte.room service is prompt.the pool is spotlessly clean with crystal clear water.lot of garden area to stroll about.wonderful cooking...thank you chefs.last but not least reception ladies deserve mention for their prompt and hassle free check-in and check -out services.if it is puri it should definitely be with bnr.

Chanakya BNR hotel is an amazing railway heritage hotel in Puri, Odisha.
It is a part of prestigious Chanakya group of hotels.
The location is walking distance from puri railway station and very close to the beach.
Jagannath temple is also near to this property.
The rooms are very clean and spacious.
The hotel staff is very polite and courteous.
Though I haven't stayed at all the hotels in puri but I am certain that Chanakya BNR is one of the best hotels in puri.
The restaurant of the hotel is very good with great menu.
The breakfast buffet is also amazing.
The pool and the railway heritage pictures are one of its class.
I would certainly recommend this hotel to all my fellow travelers.

The buffet breakfast is exemplary they have the best taste is hospitality service industry.

This maybe is my fifth visit in the last six years.
The hotel was badly damaged during the cyclone last year.
It has since being repaired thoroughly.
Not only does BNR bring back memories of my childhood and also of our visit with our daughter when she was 3 /4 .
Their rooms are large spacious allow you to walk about freely,unlike other hotels.
The bathrooms too are big and well designed.
Air-conditioning is excellent.
Housekeeping does a very good job EVERYDAY.
The food ,continental and Indian were tasty with large portions , definitely good value for money.
Caramel custard a rarety nowadays in most hotels but not here,was delicious.
APART FROM ALL THIS,I MUST ADD THE BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDE OF EACH AND EVERY STAFF BE IT FRONT OFFICE, RESTAURANT, HOUSEKEEPING, ROOM SERVICE AND THE GARDENER ,IS SO SO WARM AND WELCOMING ,THEY MAKE YOU FEEL SO WELCOME.

One of the most pleasant stays I’ve ever had. The hotel is a must for all the people who fancy Indian Railways. The historical vicinity makes you not want to leave the hotel premises any sooner. Also the taste and quality of food was divine. You get a wide variety of cuisine options. The swimming pool was also hygienic and well kept. Truly a royal experience. Highly recommended.

This hotel has some history!!! The property belonged to the Indian Railways (now it’s a Chanakya group property like some other Railway hotels, eg, Ranchi) and served the top brass of Indian railways from the colonial times. The hotel still maintains the colonial charm. My all time favourite place in Puri, once had a direct sea view but now the view is gone owing to the new properties and buildings which have come up over the years. However, the sea is only 5 mins walk from this hotel. Food has always been excellent in this hotel but continental food needs a special mention.
