As an defence aspirant It was Really facinating to see a exhibition room especially made to share the invaluable knowledge of our state and national army. The audio was really very good but beside the history of Sikkim if it was made as history of indian army like the wars and all it would be more captivating.
Thank you for the wonderful experience Black Cat Museum.

This is a very interesting museum with a very detailed history of Sikkim and the Black Cat Division. Everyone visiting Gangtok should definitely take some time in their schedule to visit this place especially if you have 10+ years older kids with you . They have audio guide at a cost of 10Rs that is very helpful and gives a good historical account of the exhibits

For someone who is not very well informed about political issues, the museum did a really good job of concisely presenting the multiple years of rich history of the black cat squad along with enough context to understand . It's definitely a good idea to spend time at the museum. Words can't describe how good the bakery is, it's a hotspot for college and school students and is almost always sold out.

It turned out to be a great little museum showcasing the history of the state of Sikkim and the role of the Indian Army's Black Cats Division in it. The museum is open on all days of the week from 10AM to 7PM except Tuesdays, with a lunch break from 1-3 PM. The tickets cost a minimal ₹10 and it's free for students. The staff was very friendly and helped me to clear a few doubts regarding the exhibits as well. They also provided me with an audio device to help me better understand the same. The ground floor has the reception, souvenir shop and also a good cafeteria, while the entire first floor is dedicated to the museum. One should definitely visit it while they are in the city.
